PM directs PIA to airlift insecticide from India

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has directed the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to airlift the insecticide from Mumbai, India meant for prevention of dengue in Punjab. These insecticides were purchased by the Punjab government. It may be pointed out that the PIA was reluctant to airlift the insecticide due to its rules which prohibit the transportation of the material of this nature. The prime minister’s instructions amount to according a waiver in the face of epidemic of dengue in the province of the Punjab.

i am 100% sure these will be low cost for punjab gov and near to deliver .thats why reignol cooperation is damn good only we few here don't do it .if we buy it from EU USA as always it will be more waste of money

PIA has regular flights to India. It's office in India is in churchgate Mumbai. They were only skeptical of carrying a material that is not regularly carried on a civilian aircraft.

I think this is necessary when in need, we shouldn't hold back as we are all humans in the end. Let there be more such cooperation, and advise people not to use these kind of actions for point scoring.
