ISLAMABAD, Nov 4 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Thursday said the conversion of Kala Dhaka from tribal area into a settled district is another landmark achievement of the government which will go a long way in addressing the problems of the people of this area.

He mentioned that it is after 110 years that any government has succeeded in converting any tribal area into a settled district with the complete consent of the local people.

In a meeting with the Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Awais Ahmad Ghani here at his Chamber in the Parliament House on Thursday, the Prime Minister directed to complete the formalities at the earliest and initiate the process for holding classes of Swat Cadet College as per his commitment with the people of Swat and Malakand.

The Prime Minister said it is hallmark of the strength and vibrancy of the democracy that despite all political wrangling and heated debates, each bill has been passed by the Parliament unanimously.
He said it is beauty of the democracy that it achieves unanimity within diversity of views.

The Prime Minister reiterated that all commitments with the people of Swat and Malakand would be fulfilled. He said complete rehabilitation of Malakand people remains priority focus despite economic constraints created by the recent devastating floods.
