Please pray for my father

My father had a triple bypass heart surgery in June of this year (2016). He is not recovering well. He has the following symptoms.

1) Shortness of breath
2) Cough that won't go away
3) Weight loss ( lost 20 pounds since the surgery)
4) Loss of appetite

Please pray for him as doctors have been unsuccessful so far in diagnosing and treating the symptoms.

I created this account to reply on your post.

Shortness of breadth and cough is probably because of pulmonary edema if your father have reduced LVEF i.e. left ventricular ejection fraction.

He need to get dehydrated as much as possible by medications and all water from his body need to be removed to reduce the load on heart.

If you can provide me more details, I can probably help you out more.

My dad was experiencing shortness of breath and he was taken to emergency dept. After the medical tests the doctor on duty diagnosed fluid in lungs and therefore prescribed medication to get rid of the fluid. He then had a follow up appointment with his cardiologist who advised him to drink less water than normal and to avoid salt altogether in diets. She also prescribed iron pills as my dad also has anemia. (This was like a month and half ago)

The problem is even though my dad is following the doctor's advise strictly his cough is not get better and his shortness of breath is not improving either.

Yesterday, I was surfing the net and found out that someone who has the following symptoms has most likely lung cancer.
