Plane carrying Pakistan defense attaché, ambassador crashes in Washington | The News Tribe
Judging from the scene it is a miracle that both the Defense Attache and the Ambassador survived.
That's a big crash!!!
Wait a minute, a ticker did come on GEO that a small plane had crashed in DC and occupants were injured, no mention of them being Pakistani though.
That photo is INCORRECT.
The pilot of the plane, 46-year-old Waseem Haider, remains at Ruby Memorial Hospital in fair condition. The two other men on board, 48-year-old Shujjat Rathore and 46-year-old Muhammad Paracha were released.
The plane the three of them were on crashed around 12:40 p.m. on Friday near the Windwood Fly-In Resort. Officials said they think Haider was trying to land the plane, but didn't think there was enough room to make the landing.
That's when he apparently tried to take off again, but couldn't clear the trees.
Good to know that the Legend Haseeb Paracha is okay, wish him a speedy recovery.
But what i fail to understand is, what is a man of his calibre doing in Washington serving as an Air Attache? He should be in Sargodha, teaching the young guns and helping them hone there skills. It is an utter waste of talent for a man like Haseeb Paracha to serve as an Air Attache instead of being a fighter pilot instructor.
