The Chinese have always known that they were dealing with a treacherous race. The Burmans had massacred the affluent Chinese in 60s and 70s when Ne Win was in power. And this Ne Win's mother was Chinese as also his favorite wife. Now that the Chinese community is doing well - particularly in the bordering towns and in Mandalay, the jealous Burmese are out to create trouble for them.
