I bet Russia will stay away when we kick Indian butt. Then Indian will realize how ridiculous is the relationship they are bragging about with Russia. Never push china into a war, you can't bear it. If Russia supply weapons or components to India during Sino- India conflict, we will shoot down their transports. When It come to the battle power of Indian army, it's a joke. Vietnam provoked us and we killed 180,000 of their civilians, burned down their infrastructure and took half their (stolen) South China Sea territories.

VN is small, why it should have provoked China?
Cambodia Pol Pot ran mad, murdered their own people in killing fields, including vietnamese and chinese settlers, attacked VN border several times, until VN said enough is enough.
Wonder why China is always so proud in killing the innocent people too, including their own ones. Why not put more zeros to your number? to prove the PLA is strong.

Going back to the days and weeks of the Sino-Vietnam war 1979, there were some things still unsaid.
Deng Xiaoping was deeply disappointed over the bad performance of PLA, that he feared the worst: an invasion of VN in the South and the Soviet Union in the North. A two front war.
The situation was as follows: in the south-west front, after overrun Cambodia, the vietnamese troups stood at the border to Thailand, was ready to enter Thai territory in order to destroy the rest of the Pol Pot army. Thai army was weak in that time (relied most on the US support), so should not be a problem for vietnamese army.

In the north front, VN had several large army troups around Hanoi and in the neighbor country Laos. They were ready to lauch a retaliation attack on South China. The Soviet Red Army would enter North China at the same time. Assuming PLA would collapse in the two fronts, China was lost.
Like Germany after WW2, China would be divided in 2 halfs: the north controlled by the Soviets, the south by the Viets.
