I'm not 100% sure but I think its called Slave Island.
because the Portuguese brought slaves from Africa to work there.

Sri lanka is truly beautyful .. so my father had told me he has visited colombo many times when he was in the PN and in the merchent marine i plan on going to visit one day soon

Wow, Colombo sure looks like Saigon/Ho Chi Minh. No offence, but this city sure beats Delhi in looks imho.
