The historic element of the game is what attracted me the most. The Assassins were a real group, apparently from the Shia sect of Islam (although they were just Muslims by name - in the sense that they were based out of Syria). They were in fact given a derogatory name Hashasheen (the Hash takers), which later in English became Assassin.
In the end they brought in Greek Gods and what not.
I can't wait for Part 3.
