Not a good idea.... Specialy when world military knows how china learn about ships and Aircraft carriers.... Couple of years ago chinese navy chief visited indian AC. He visited because to learn about it so they can get an idea about indian AC and their own AC.... Now indian navy doing same mistake. They call it Stealth.... Well its no longer a Stealth now. You must be fool thinking Chinese navy not learning the ship. Be it even by their Radars.... Indian goverment has to use their brain. Humans use 10percent of brains but over goverment uses 1percent and that too to disturb normal indians....

@Ice bomb the americans are far ahead in thinking and planning then chinese or indians.... There must be a reason they invited chinese navy onto board and that too a AC which is not a Stealth.... Indian navy lacks thinking power.... Specialy sending something very special into china is not a good idea.... What is the use of word 'Stealth'? Why dont america sends F-22 raptor in india? Why F-18 and F-16 only?.... You got my post wrong.... Am not against india sending war ships in china. i want there should be peace love and happiness. Its alot good that china invited indian navy.... However India should have sended Non Steath ships. Am not saying its fully Stealth what we sended.... Nevertheless its still a Semi-Stealth.... India exposing everything on the Ship including inside ship. Not a wise move i must say....

@IND151 i hope india wont send that into china.... We need to protect and keep low profile of weapons which are far superior.... America does that well.... We need to learn. Even Arcturian keeps starship ATHENA and battleships invisible.... Its very important because thats how enemy cant get much info about their targets and capabilities....

I foresee that by 2020, the new emerging alliance is going to be RIC - Russia, India, China. Though this would hinge on trade and economy, there would also be a military alliance of sorts.

The Sino Indian border dispute would most probably have been resolved before then to the satisfaction of both sides.

From the present $60 billion, Sino Indian trade is projected at $100 billion by 2015 and likely to cross $300 billion by 2020, which is pretty huge by any stanadard.

The U.S foresees this triangle which it fears could be detrimental to its national interests and therefore trying to woo India away.

If and when there's a strategic security pact between China and India, there would be no need of Pakistan in the equation. In the present scenario, Pakistan is being propped up by China only to help it keep India preoccupied by proxy as it considers India a threat.

That's the hard truth. The sooner one realizes this, the better!

if there is a defence pact between the ASIAN nations we can not leave out PAKISTAN, if CHINA and INDIA agrees to go for a pact with out PAKISTAN, the ISI will seek out an alternative balance and that will invite USA to aid ISI and will push them to conduct strikes inside INDIA and CHINA, but the amount of stikes inside INDIAN teritory by non state actors will be multifold compared to the CHINESE side in ULIGAR dominated areas.
we should not give USA that opertunity to exploite the divide in us. If there is ever a pact between the ASIAN nations then sure we have to give PAKISTAN its rightfull place in such an defence co-orperation.

The Army man is the Military Attache posted in China.

On a matter of protocol his presence is mandatory for all defence related visits to the country he is posted to.
