PIA’s innovative Christmas advert tops reddit in just a day

ISLAMABAD – It seems like the national flag carrier of Pakistan is striving hard to re-gain its lost glory as multiple incidents in past have helped portray it in a favourable light.
Pakistan International Airlines that is accused of dismal performing in a marked contrast to its peers, won the hearts of social media buffs on the eve of Christmas.
The financially-strapped PIA wished the Christian community of the country a Merry Christmas by designing an advert that featured planes cojoined to look like a Christmas tree.

The advert was uploaded on microblogging site on Monday but it was uploaded on social news aggregation portal Reddit, the following day, unexpectedly earning praise from Redditors.

The pictorial greeting uploaded in sub-reddit ‘Adporn’was upvoted by the Reddit community to the top in just a day with a staggering 602 votes and still counting.
The gesture of PIA was appreciated by the Reddit community in their comments as well.
Apart from the greeting, PIA took the Christmas event to a whole new level this year as it distributed gifts among the passengers of several flights during the “holly jolly” flight prior to December 25th.
“Ho ho ho and Christmas Cheer!! It was a holly jolly flight as PIA had a visit from Santa Claus with lots of gifts for everyone!!,” stated the airline in one of the tweets describing the activity.
In another tweet, the airline spoke of the little Christmas party that took place during the flight.
The airline also tweeted videos of Senior Flight Purser, Peter Inayat dressed up as Santa, giving away gifts and goodies with the help of the cabin crew.
