What's new

PIA women staff new uniforms gives glamorous look

The girls look great, but they look like they're married to Santa's elves ....all meant in good fun...I am sure @MarkusS will not mind a little leg pulling!

Sahara was a private Indian airline, they used to do a lot of the cricket sponsorship, you might have seen their logos displayed very prominently on all international matches that India played few years back? I think they still own the Formula1 team.

They were sold to Jet Airways, must be like six or seven years ago. So now all these young ladies would be wearing that yellow jet airways uniform, which is also quite nice!

These are private airlines not a "national carrier".... so I guess they tend to have more freedom to do whatever they want.

Ha, santa's elves. It's the colours.
Oh I understand, Sahara used to be around. Are the regional airlines good quality wise? Some of the Sahara ladies are easy on the eye (number 2) lol, what about service?

It's actually Kingfisher airlines not Sahara Airlines.

Kingfisher airlines was ended in 2012. RIP

Lol, wasn't that the airline with swimsuit models? Oh man, how tacky. No wonder it tanked.

I haven't flown AI In years, I hear they have improved tremendously but from my experience Private airline service is like 300,000 times better than Air India.

Air India is there to give free junkets to politicians Beurocrats and their families. The air hostess are rude and you always feel like they are doing you a favor letting you fly with them!

The private airlines are ALWAYS on time. The staff are young, modern, efficient. They don't make you feel like you are bothering them by Being on the plane. They APOLOGISE and RECTIFY if they make a mistake..which is unheard of in Air India..it is always the passengers fault for AI.

So yes private is much better any day!

Hahaha about Air India, they would actually get on well with PIA, considering they have the same traits and rubbish service lol.
Good to know the private airlines are offering a reputable service. I flew many when I toured Asia and found the same. Although Asian national carriers are excellent e.g. Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines etc, actually they are bloody amazing!

Well, Hong Kong and Singapore have super effecient governments, so they run super efficient airlines !

Singapore Airlines is my favorite by a mile. Their uniforms and air hostesses are really pretty too!

Yes, you are right. They are well run states, which reflects in their airlines. I always fly with Cathay, whenever I can. I don't like reclining seats in front of me. Their new economy class gets rid of that problem, fantastic!

Pretty specific number :p:

I agree with your post. Mass competition among many suppliers have shown Indians what they really should be expecting per dollar compared to govt run crap.

Haha that was the first thing I noticed too when they introduced it. Its such a nice feature for long haul economy.

You know, I have never flown Cathay Pacific! I am not sure why...

but now that you guys give such glowing recomendAtions, I will make sure to do so.

It also helps that they are somewhat like city states and they can only make profit by targetting international routes (which are generally more profitable).

When you got babus wanting to go domestic haul routes all the time, and no other competitors for aam admi to choose, you get the traditional AI/IA performance and legacy.

Ha! Great minds think alike. I love the fact that you have to rotate on your own seat if you want the headroom, and you don't compromise the space of the person behind you. I hear other airlines are going the same way, as that appears to be the number one complaint now!

my personal favourite is salwar kameez with dupata..when you represent Pakistan then should adopt what average Pakistani woman wear and it look simple and classy and there are so much design and variety in it

That's nice. But what about the food? If there's one thing that would make me choose PIA over other international airlines to visit Pakistan, it would be the potential to have authentic Pakistani food cooked to perfection.
Food is not bad but PIA is only airline who has direct flight from London to Pakistan so even those who like to travel in others air lines prefer to choose PIA for this reason

That might be true. But I don't want it just be "not bad", I want it to be great. The quality of Pakistani food in North America, while fine, leaves something to be desired when compared to food from Pakistan itself. If they did this, believe me when I say many would choose PIA over other airlines. Even the really nice ones.

The road to profits is through good service and especially our stomachs. :D

Looks good to me!

If I visit Pakistan, I'm definitely going to take PIA in and out to get the full proper desi experience my Pak friends keep telling me about :D
