Interesting. Five Boeing 777-300ER are already on order delivery in March, 2015 and now two additional 777LR, 5 737-800 and 2 jumbos. Bringing the total of new aircrafts being added to 14. I like Rao's expansion plan.

Rao must make PIA profitable too.... Pakistan International Airlines can be a one hell of an asset to the nation... Pakistan's strategic location is ideal for any airlines to operate... Dubai is nothing..

Upgrade Karachi , Lahore , Islamabad , Hyderabad airports along with the expansion of PIA fleet. Cut on corruption prevalent in the PIA ... Start flights on new routes ...

It takes much more than location to make for a successful regional hub.

There was a time when Karachi was the regional hub for most airlines flying to the Far East from the West, until it was superseded by the superior facilities and stable management of nearby Dubai. It will take a sustained effort to regain that designation for Karachi, or any other airport, in Pakistan again.
