MOST of the move to the West market is taken over by Qatar, Turkey, Emirates, Etihad and others...Some like Japan, China also exist...or Finnair ...I am sure in no time india wont need their airlines going to West! Star Alliance is not Indian owned...I am a frequent flyer of that and they exchange planes all the time...1 min you are in Luftansa the next they can swap it with any other airways...So Air India will need to let all its traffic go to other partners and concentrate on going Eastwards

I guess PIA flights are not banned. The Delhi office is closed. PIA has to look for a new Delhi office.
