Perfect Synergy Between Army And IAF Displayed In Heliborne Exercise In Rajasthan Deserts

Indian Army in another great show of strength carried out two days long special heliborne exercise in the deserts of Rajasthan.

The heliborne operation has the capability to surprise the enemy and exploit targets weakened by the effects of deep fires. Airborne and heliborne forces are especially critical given the fluidity and rapid tempo that characterizes the modern battlefield.
Attack and armed helicopters were also employed in close support of the heliborne column.

To support the heliborne force, Army used long range weapon systems to deliver large amount of TNT and steel. Strike aircrafts of the Indian Air Force provided critical fire support and air protection to the column.
The Army also used Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) to get real time information of enemy activities which was shared with various command and control centers for planning and execution of coordinated operations.

The exercise showcased a high degree of synergy between the Indian Army and Air Force.
Heliborne units support the rapid advance of a large combined arms force deep into the enemy’s operational or operational-strategic depth.

Such an operation requires preciseness by highly trained troops with robust mental and physical capabilities. The exercise was aimed at fine tuning operational and logistics aspects of heliborne operations.
The whole exercise was carried out in battle like condition was reviewed by large number of senior officers of Army and Air Force.

Buddy how they are diff from other Para SF ...other then heliborn operations , I mean what kind operations then can carry out doest it include the cold desert like terrain of Laddak or just thar desert , do they have diff equipment then other Para units ?

Got it buddy they are kind of same as LRDG of second world war ...thanks for the link , if used properly they can change the tide of war , as in second word war , LRDG harassed Field Marshal Rommel
