Nonsense
Netherlands is surrounded by friends hence the percentage of people when asked if they want to go to war is low.
Let’s say Turkey attacks the Netherlands today. Tomorrow 100 percent of the Dutch will rush to arms.
The percentage of Vietnamese asked in the poll is high because we are facing an immense security threat on the northern front.

Yes we have seen Dutch and French in ww2 when Germany invaded the Netherlands and France in a few weeks

on the other hand tiny Greece fought as hero against Germany in ww2 and tiny Finland fought as hero against USSR in ww2

There is a saying: when the flood recedes we know who swims naked.
Such poll is worthless.
The percentage of Germans to defend is low. Ok who wants to attack Germany? Who wants to try?

.
Only the soldiers and reservists would fight. I dont believe nowdays some regular guy with a good job and children will volunteer in the army during war. Let others die for their country.

.
The more civilized the people, the less they want to go for war.

Forget about the will to defend the country.

.
good to see many sensible people in EU . war is nothing but waste of lives and resources . germans are very smart .

Finally a smart response, yes coincidentally the countries higher in this list are also less developed (less to lose) and/or high on the misery index (China) - nothing to live for...

.
Proudly in the 79%.

Country it's not the same of state. I don't give a sh*t for this state and its politicians. I wouldn't move a finger for them.

If European want to fight for their country sovereignty, they should launch a first missile strike to EU headquarters in first place.

.
It's easy to say yes, you are willing to fight for your country in a survey ... but once war does really arrive, I doubt many of those will be as enthusiastic. This is why a draft must be put in place for especially high intensity, large scale conflicts, since your average person does not want to die in some battlefield.

You're right, moreover people dont know what is a real war in the west, even soldiers, what know about a real war a western soldier in Afghanistan? That is not a war against a enemy equally armed to you.

Do you imagine how many westerners would fight against Russia? Zero.

Anyway, it's a useful survey, because people who answer NO is a real NO.

Chinese are at the same level as Israelis and Russians. we are all genocide victim countries that commit to "never again". Chinese fight for our fundamental right to life and existence.

On the other hand, some countries were founded on genocide so egregious that even their own Supreme Court ruled it illegal in the 19th century, and their leader said something to the effect of "the justice has made his ruling... Now let him enforce it." It is much less motivating to fight for plunder.

.
When workers and poor people of around world invaded European countries in the recent decades and years and steal the jobs to common people, what did our ruling elites? Nothing, or even encourage them to invade more and more.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proactiva_Open_Arms

Then... What we should do common people of European countries if another Ruling elite wants to invade us? the same: open arms!
