I'm positive that the intention was not to insult but they didn't think it through very well. However, the team should offer an apology and promise to be careful and more considerate in the future. It is not so easy to find dark skinned girls in Pakistan...at least I've not seen many so I guess their number is low in the modelling industry so they went ahead with the girls available easily. That's just my assessment.
BTW I personally find dark skinned girls quite attractive especially with good natural tan. Being Muslims we cannot discriminate or be racist towards people based on their skin colours.

As of this make over Nah ididnt find it racist at all but iwill try watching the episode cause when u watch it u understand it better. I Wont call it racist just cause morning shows are always trashy. Trust me these shows show so much shytt and when we protest many of these liberals insult and rebuke us but since its about complexion so these people on social media etc have taken offenses and going full agressive mode making mountain out of a non issue.

Sanam has done an insensitive maids show earlier and almost all shows are insensitive but here their intention was not wrong.

Also trust me hamaray haan agar dark larki bhi daal detay tau bhi shor hee hona tha. Though their presentation was super pathetic cause aik was to show that dakd women cud look beautiful in their natural color but they ended up doing such make up which looked horrible due to the boot polish they rubbed on models faces.

The whole issue making out of this irrelevant thing just showed that those people who are not dark and they made an issue ,they think being dark is bad hence to them showing such segment means people are belittling dark color and those who are dark and objected to it just showed how much low in confidence they are that they think showing dark skin tone in tv means its insulting their color and there is something wrong with it.

Peopel are criticizing this but why these same social media brigade dont criticize top leading actors like Fahad msutafa, mohib mirza, mehwish hayat, ayeza khan, danish taimoor , and tonnes of others who have gone thru skin whitening treatments and bleached their complexions? It is these people who are shy of their true skin colors who make people feel bad about dark skin tones.

Fahad mustafa ka tau mazzaq banta hai for whitening his skin tone.

Danish taimoor nay itha ziada apna rang white karwaya and while he was doing it his arms were dark so he used to wear full sleeves Ts to hide his arms color then he got his arms whitened too. And danish nay tau aisa white karwaya hai kay ussay dekh kay Astaghfirullah khauf ata hai. intehai bhayanak gora rang lagta hai dead bodies jaisa.

Yeh aisay log hotay hain who gives complexes

Yes, of course. Especially when looking for a spouse, you're allowed and encouraged to find the one that is closer to your liking but you're not allowed to make distinctions in public life or deride others who may not be up to your perceived standard of beauty and especially you cannot make fun of anyone's appearance and unfortunately it has become so common that we all indulge in that and, shamefully, I'm no exception.

The problem is that media and makeup industry definition of beautiful is being white.

All of the products in the market are to make people white not beautiful.

A few weeks ago I saw a video of 2 American dancers , they eere comparing the makup artists in American and India.

The American Artists did all the makeup taking their brown skin tone as a base, and did not tried to change their skin tone.


But Indian artist tried to change their skin tone from brown to white.And they did not look good.

Now a days the beauty standards are set by media.

Look at America.Their media don't discriminate between white and black.
Heck,In America black men are prefered more then white.

Most of their top male music stars are black, hardly any white.And most of the white female stars are with black boyfriends or husbands.

Miss America 2014 is a brown Indian American.

Pakistan also have brown female models.But there are not given any roles in tv.

Only one brown female model was given a main role in a drama for which she won an award also.
