People Are Pissed After Pakistani Show Used Fair Models To Showcase Makeup For Dark Girls

I don’t question the intent behind it, I’m sure it was supposed to be to done in good light, however to put the message across correctly darker skinned female models should’ve used instead ‘darkening skin’.

White worshipping is a worldwide problem. It has no limits. I feel like many countries are going backwards in this issue.

These bridal make up artists get tanned complexion girls who want to look "Zeeee Bestttt" for their big day and shell out 40-50 thousand plus rupees to look good for that day. Many want to look fair which isnt a great idea as applying too much white bases to look fair make one look unnaturally white so they chose to show through this make up that showing ur actual complexion wiput changing it and doing natural make up can make one look good, i dunno they didnt find actually dark skinned girls or what was the issue i dont gknkw. Plus the dark tone they have showed on models is rarely seen amongst women in pakistan.

I dont get the outrage beyond me.


Yes it seems it wasnt racist i will try watching the show to get a gist tho the woman who hosts this show i dont like her one bit shes as insenstive human as pakistani showbiz person plus she herself wasnt fair until she started doing some skincare tratments to appear fair and applies lot of make up plus she has very bengali looks she isnt perhaps native to pakistan. Her name is Sanam jung. Her whole show is shytty.

But as of this make up idont think the intention by make up artist was racist

One can find many dark skinned girls in Pakistan industry. Host Sanam Jung herself look like chuhri. Others are Sanam Saeed, Amina Sheikh, Amna Ilyas etc But that dark makeup look unnatural anyway.

I'm positive that the intention was not to insult but they didn't think it through very well. However, the team should offer an apology and promise to be careful and more considerate in the future. It is not so easy to find dark skinned girls in Pakistan...at least I've not seen many so I guess their number is low in the modelling industry so they went ahead with the girls available easily. That's just my assessment.
BTW I personally find dark skinned girls quite attractive especially with good natural tan. Being Muslims we cannot discriminate or be racist towards people based on their skin colours.

One can find many dark skinned girls in Pakistan let alone in Karachi where shows are hosted. But make up was dark as coal which is why it doesn't look right.

It seem we have this habit of making fuss out of nothing.I have watched this stupid show accidently when it was live on Hum TV. I did not find it racist though. It was all about dark make up and they had make up artists from differnt region of karachi to compete with each others within certain time limit and then they had audience and Judges who were judging their make up skills to announce winner. Its just a competition of make up artitst who are told to show their skills of make up in all sort of foundation
