A consumer durable product needs a lot of marketing and advertisements in the initial phases to build up its brand image, and it will be competing against domestic giants like Onida, Kelvinator, Godrej etc and huge multinationals, it might register a reasonable sales in the lower rung segment initially and if its really good enough than can have decent sales in some city centers.

A advert segment in a primetime Indian channel runs into crores - they'll need to invest heavily to promote sales, I hope the company is financially sound enough to make these investments.

A sure shot way to find out if they will succeed is to hire a few marketing and brand building Indian gurus and run an assessment of the company and do a survey in a few villages and towns of India to know if their products have a future and these consultants can also give you a fair idea of the kind of investments required to capture some sales.
