Well the issue is Jerusalem has Muslim's most holiest site , the rank of Holiest site was changed from Jerusalem to Mecca during Prophet Mohammad's time however Jerusalem still have a site holiest to Muslims

For early parts of Islam Muslims prayed towards Jerusalem
So that makes the issue of Palestine is very fundamental for Muslim States

While at a high level UAE has right to make their own deals however it hurts Muslim Sentiments for unilateral actions , ignoring the united opinion on Rights of Palestinians to have their own state

Saudi's denied the USA the right to use its airbases for the invasion of Iraq in 2003. USA was so upset that it pulled all its troops out of KSA. Doesn't sound like a country that has to obey Washington without question.

What's clearly now ridiculous in hindsight is that Pakistanis expected these honourless kings to lend any support whatsoever over Kashmir. UAE just pissed all over the supposed central unifying cause of the Arab world itself and made a laughing stock of themselves. These kings would sell their own mother to spite the Iranians or the Turks or whichever other non-white nation they suddenly can't tolerate being better than they are.

Here's the thing - GCC quite simply suffers from the same inferiority complex that our Indian chums to the east have had to undergo therapy for for the whole of eternity. Arab leaders live under some delusion that whites and Israelis are allowed to dominate them but the minute Persians or Turks dare to contemplate such heresy, the Arab world will literally sell its own mother to make sure that doesn't happen. This panic in the ranks to thwart Turkey and Iran is truly phenomenal. Where was this level of drama over fellow Arabs being butchered by whites and Israelis for the last 50 years?

What's the problem guys? For decades, Americans and Israelis took turns pissing on you and you happily let it continue while even grabbing your own ankles for extra brownie points. Yet we've all heard how uppity you get if Persians or Turks dare to piss on you - "cut the head off the sassanid snake" and all that wikileaks shite. I'm afraid Arab kings and elites suffer from irreversible colonial-worship.

The way I see it, Pakistan has made two mistakes over the course of the last 20 years.

1. Pakistan should have recognised Israel a decade ago as Pakistan had no need to ever antagonise them.

2. Pakistan should have dumped the Arab world at the same time.

You are underestimating the Iranian pan shia Islam threat to the Arab world, they have Pakistan and Afghanistan divisions with recruits from both the countries fighting Irans war and interests in Iraq and Syria, it's a shia authoritarian empire slowly rising in the levant with Iran at its center and the threat it poses specially to the Arab sunnis can not be ignored, after the fall of saddam hussain Irans influence has increased significantly, for the Arab this realignment is a no brainer.
