Firstly, why is an official of the IB working in the Pakistani mission in Damascus? The Ib's domain is domestic rather than foreign intelligence.
Secondly, I understand that PSP officers have occupied posts in Pakistani missions time and again, especially in the Middle East and PSP officers fill most of the higher ranks in the IB. But, PSP officers are never the employees of the IB (as the ambassador said Ataullah's an employee of the IB) rather they are posted on deputation.
Thirdly, Is the Ambassador mentally challenged or what? Saying that your Consular General is the employee of an intelligence agency rather than from the diplomatic corps (I mean FSP) is plain idiotic. Did anybody teach him a lesson in not giving such reckless and exposé statements, especially to the media?
Lastly and most importantly, what the hell is the CG doing? Issuing to an Iraqi now. We might as well issue Passports to everybody who wants one. It'll be a profitable business then. If his aim was to somehow get a passport for a would be intelligence agent/source, then if a newspaper gets to know about it you clearly are a failure at your job. The more likely explanation obliviously is that palms were rubbed and rokra was exchanged.
Pathetic !!
