DUBAI: Former president Parvez Musharraf on Tuesday termed Dr Tahirul Qadris long march a successful attempt.
In a telephonic conversation with a TV channel, Musharraf said if he had been in place of Gen Kayani, change would have occurred in the country. In the situation what is prevailing in the country, the change would have come in the country had I been in place of General Kayani. I am looking into the situation with due consideration, he said.
He said he had been extending full cooperation to Tahir ul Qadri from the very first day. It is a good omen that Qadri has raised voice in support of the peoples rights.
About security forces, he said they are scions of the nation and their obligation is to defend the frontiers of the country and maintain peace. I hope security forces will not rise against the nation nor any force will be used against the nation, he remarked.
Musharraf said current rulers had lost their popularity, saying that they had no right to rule the country nor had the capability to run the country. He said the PML-N had no potential to pull the country out of the crisis.
Meanwhile, former president Pervez Musharraf welcomed the Supreme Court verdict against Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf. He said the SCs order is a reflection of agenda of Dr Tahir ul Qadri.
