those indians who suffered most in partition were punjabis...we still regret partition and bloodshed but nobody would like to see too many muslims in our streets of punjab.. but we wanna be friends and sort of open border like between canada and usa ..probably its same thinking in pakistan. only the indians from south or central indians are so fond of united india as they dont have to go thorough what we have gone through. when in united punjab we were always at each other throats. they would beg afghans to help them defeat sikhs and we will fight them..they will distroy our temple and we wll turn their mosques into stables...and that use to go on and on.. imagine a mullah talking his religion is true religion and all others are false in front of a akali....

Man...., It started with Direct Action day in Calcutta.... where at least 5000 were killed. Probably it was 60-40%, Muslim-Hindu....In retalliation it was Noakhali.....around 10000 hindus, other than that many were raped converted, were homeless or migrated. In retalliation to Noakhali , massacre in Bihar and United Provinces, were mostly Muslims were slaughtered.The onslaught this side didn't stop with Partition but continued till 1971 Bangladesh Liberation war.

The 1951 census in India recorded 2.523 million refugees from East Bengal. Among them 2.061 million settled in West Bengal. The rest went to Assam, Tripura and other states. By 1973 their number reached over 6 million. The following table shows the major waves of refugee influx and the incident that caused it.

Not only Standing Orders but even MIML /MPML /MBML or Acts or Rules can alter the fact that a Muslim male cannot marry a non-Muslim girl without her first accepting Islam. Happened with Jodha and thousands of other Hindu girls who married Muslims to escape being burnt alive along with the dead husband. And Islam bestows so much honor and benefit to a woman.

The assertion that hindus were forced to convert to islam by mughals is a hindutva myth.
Mughals ruled the sub-continent for around 500 years and they could have easily converted every single hindu to islam but it was not their agenda
