Don't know why IAF suddenly wants tejas at an accelerated rate
And still saying For more orders..
First of all, it's just another faulty IDRW analysis, which gets to the wrong conclusions (FGFA has nothing to do with MMRCA, not even Parrikar says that, since his alternative are additional MKIs).
Secondly, IAF does not want more LCA's, but there were reports about an additional production line, to be less dependent on HAL as a sole supplier. So instead of 16 per year from HAL alone, 8 + 8 from HAL and a privat player. That's however nonsense from an industrial point of view, since the production lines would not be cost effective.
The article also doesn't get it, that the Mig 21 replacement is splitted between LCA and MMRCA, which also will be produced at the same time. So there is no requirement for the mythical 400 LCAs, nor do we need a 2nd LCA production line to keep our numbers, since we will produce LCA MK2, MMRCA and FGFA pretty much at the same time, with the possibility to add AMCA above.
