Paris ban on Muslim street prayers comes into effect

I hardly see any Indian Muslim praying on the street. Maybe because Indian Muslims dont wear the religion up their sleeve. But if they do pray in some parts in INdia then I will support a ban. Because as I said Roads are for Transport, not for praying.

Also You never know what will hit you if you close your eyes for a second - a speeding auto or a taxi.

Man- what you are thinking? Muslims daring pray infront of incoming traffic in the streets -
You may have not seen an indian muslim praying in the street because of the sheer number of mosques to accommodate the muslims- you know in france or other western countries there aren't many-

Yes he did. But its not like people suddenly find out that, "oh no there is no space left in the mosque"! When you know that mosque is going to be full, why not just do it at home?

As Graphican meantioned, Salat?(am guessing friday prayers?) shouldn't be offered on the street.

in normal circumstances it shouldn't be- and i dont think muslims pray on the streets 5 times a day every day- Its just the Juma Prayer- which most of the muslims take very seriously for some reason-

For me i always know- if i dont get up early i will not be able to find a place inside a mosque- but still i go- because it carries more value than praying at home-

I think what this article wants to say is that muslims can'tpray in public like sidewalks/footpaths, while nobody would be stupid enough to pray on a street with cars and oncoming traffic. Is this the measure of the average person's iq?

i thought living in india with more muslims than any place else- he should have know or seen why muslims pray in streets- but he is trying to be more ignorant that francici people themselves -

I think Muslim Women pray only in their homes. Never seen any pics of them praying in mosques.

From this pic, it is clear that praying on road is nothing but just show off. When women can pray at home why not man.

You are lying- i have never heard of any Muslim being hit by a biker or car while praying with eyes closed in india--
