The Embraer did well, but the A400M was incredible. That takeoff from minute 0.18 to 0.35 (like in that last pic you posted) is defying that it had that much thrust with those prop engines and at that very high AoA and didn't stall. Then the turn it does at 4:27 and doesn't fall from the sky is crazy lol. C-17 does some nutty stuff like that but not with props.

Despite the great advancement in battery technologies, when it comes to aviation, it's still hard to believe that electricity can 'substantially' power anything larger than a drone-sized aircraft. Can't visualize a Boeing 737 or a MiG-29 being powered by batteries, or a large cargo ship or destroyer for that matter, but who knows. Stranger things have happened.

As of today, the price of oil in the US is at it's lowest in 12 years, @ $43 a barrel.

I'm sure there are a lot of fans who feel they should've brought back a new variation of the Concorde a long time ago. Something like this that flies supersonic transit is ripe for this day and age, as opposed to when the Concord was flying. Hopefully it materializes.
