ISLAMABAD: The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) said on Thursday that fates of Imran Khan and Jehnagir Tareen will be decided on the same day.

The CEC said that verdict on references for disqualification of Tareen and Imran Khan will be announced together.

He was hearing disqualification references against the two politicians today. The hearing was adjourned till December 26.

During the proceedings, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz leaders Talal Chaudhry and Muhammad Khan Daha requested that their lawyer be changed to Akram Sheikh, who is counsel for Sharif’s children in the Panama Leaks case.

Jehangir Tareen’s lawyer objected that the lawyer cannot be changed once the court stays a verdict.

Will take to streets if justice denied in SC over Panama scandal: Imran Khan

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan vowed to take to the streets against the “corrupt rulers” in case justice is not served in the Supreme Court over Panama Papers scandal.

“We approached all state institutions and were denied justice… Now we are in the Supreme Court and if it fails, I will take to the streets and continue to fight against the corrupt rulers till the drop of my blood,” Imran said while addressing his party workers in Swabian Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Sunday.

The PTI chief accused Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family to have illegally brought the property in London worth billions of rupees but did not spend anything on peoples’ welfare. “It is as if Imran Khan sends money abroad to his sons and then they send it back to him claiming they have earned it abroad.”

The cricketer-turned-politician lamented that when he takes to the streets after having lost faith in the state institutions, he is accused of inviting the military to rule the country. “How can I be accused of inviting military to rule the country when Maryam Nawaz [PM’s daughter] tweeted saying the stormed had passed, hinting that the new chief justice and army chief favoured the rulers,” he asked.

Imran went on to say that the Nawaz-led government had destroyed all state institutions except judiciary and army. “There are two institutions that have not been manipulated and these are Supreme Court and Pakistan Army,” he said.

I.k simply cannot take this fight to raiwand . All hollow chanting and screaming aside, he needs the bureaucracy on his side . Which is well inside the pockets of sharefs feeling all cozy. However there's also another way . He must have to prove his worth in k.pk . And by making kpk his impenetrable base , he may gradually break in Punjab and Sindh

Shoud be done in Military court , in case the judges are retiring or are afraid to decide (it happens often in our politics) civilian judge have problems with verdicts

His economic contribution and policies are quite well but Panama case has really stiffiled his otherwise brilliant term

Either Supreme court should impose a fine on his family for past due taxes which he has to pay or his family or they should dismiss the case for lack of evidence (Credible proof). Not mere TV show allegations
