bhai jo marzi karlo baat tou wohi hai.....i have said the exact same thing the document is authentic but shariffs are hiding behind legality....and if Allah forbids this case is lost by NAB due to this mistake that it will be a political win for Nooras because noonis will have a say for the rest of their lives that NS was on right....he has done no corruption......

You are right about some technical mistakes made by JIT...but that was also acknowledged by Panama Bench Judges in their comments that despite some mistakes, JIT did an excellent overall work.

There are multiple refrences and the first vociferous attempt by Defence was to cobble the references together which was rejected much to the dismay of their lawyers probably due to the same reasons to take advantage on technical grounds.

Had the references been combined then your fears might well be alarming indeed but not so much now...

If they do get some advantage in one case due to some technicality even then they look like gonners in the rest.

I understand but do comment on another aspect that seems quite strange:

I think that PTI and other parties are either playing it very very very fair or they are letting it slip but there is always a possibility of something saner rather than sinister or verging on incompetence in the policy of observe and watch from a distance with regards to accountability court proceedings.

If the judge is allowing a party's leaders to assemble in and outside, without feeling the pressure than why not atleast the lawyers and leaders of other parties go.

What is stopping PTI and other parties to observe inside and comment outside the trial court? I believe it is a public hearing or is it? Is this just the right of PMLN to attend the trial court proceedings? If PMLN goons are allowed then why can't others go? And more importantly, why are they so docile and always so agreeable to concede legal and political space to PMLN? Wouldn't it be a great pain in the @@@ of Nawaz if a fawad or chohan type pti spokesman was there to breath down their necks outside the trial court with some of their own medicine. It is after all political showmanship of Nawaz with focussed and one sided media coverage that is being allowed to go on without any challenge or counter. A low level opposition rep to rub some salt in, can be the best counter as well as insult to a disqualified crook.

I understand that the strategy that is not being employed here was very much in practice during the entire Panama proceedings successfully.

I'm not suggesting a reinvention of the wheel and no where near a confrontation and not even on every hearing but rather a toned down version with only a couple of second tier reps led by lawyers like Baber or Fawad to keep their presence felt in court as well as media. They needn't hold a presser afterwards but a few quips while walking out to keep the fire warm. Eventually, This move would also have been enough to put a leash on the pmln workers being assembled there by design.

I still think that what I'm suggesting is a middle ground instead of the extremes of confrontation or a complete walk over that seems like a completely one sided political concession.

The defense is asking stupid questions and yesterday someone either the judge or Wajid Zia said app sawal bohat kerta hain, or jaawab nahi sunta, jis per kisi na kaha app ko chaie pallain or phir Khawaja Haris naraz ho ker apni seat per bhat gaya.
So how long is this stupid session going to continue? Nawaz is being given enough time to develop a narrative that he is being sidelined under some sort of conspiracy. This should had never happened and he should had been banned from conducting any jalsa jaloos till the time the decision is made on the case.
IK is not absent he is focusing on up coming elections and doing some ground work. He cannot remain focused on SC anymore as his job was to take the case to the court, get PM indicted and disqualified. Now its up to the law to take its course. Not IK.

Ever heard of the term past and closed transaction. The term resonated during Hudaibya reopening appeal case quite often.

The at that time stuttering and accepting lawyer Khwaja Haris should have raised this argument in front of Panama bench or again in review but he did no such thing. Iqama issue is now past and closed or do you want same principle to be applied for Hudaibya? lol, Bhoot ha Hudaibya, Bhoot!

Yes his competition is still with PMN however strictly speaking from Law first this was a case between PTI and Nawaz which Naeem Bokhari fought and may i say fought with absolute finesse and Nawaz got disqualified. After JIT's findings and Nawaz disqualification, this has now become Nawaz versus state. Now the state is asking Nawaz to prove his illegal wealth. Now it has nothing to do with Imran which is why imran is now staying away because otherwise these noonie would then say Imran is influencing the case.

I agree that it must have been and as must be now due to continued absence from trial court proceedings - Imran's POV; that the case has become between the State and Nawaz. But this is not a western democracy and misplaced principled stands or POV don't apply.

(Do note that I mentioned in December post that all that is required is a couple of Party lawyers presence in trial court and outside to give counter narrative.)

Result of absence and wait and watch?
PMLN was allowed completely open playing field to:

Firstly; take advantage of PTI's policy of wait and watch and PTI didn't even go for review for stricter punishment and inclusion of forgery and perjury along with Iqama.

Secondly; create a false counter narrative and repeat it after every hearing.(PTI absent)

Thirdly; repeat the same in Social Media conventions without its equal counter.(PTI Absent)

Fourthly; play underdog and victims against big bad Judiciary, establishment and PTI alliance as all PTI did was give impression of Courts Proverbial baghal bachcha instead of going in review for harsher Panama judgement and questioning leniency of SCP on blatant contempt of court. PMLN meanwhile held larger Jalsas as PTI failed to counter Jalsas. (PTI Absent)

Fifthly; plan and implement planted and PMLN favouring coverage of trial court proceedings, starting with Calibre Font testimonies that were blatantly mis-reported by Geo in cahoots with Maryam Media Cell (PTI Absent from court still and countering Media cell only)

Sixthly; repeat the same tactics of calibre font misreporting with Wajid Zia cross questioning in cahoots with paid media reporters and cementing their false narrative to keep fooling people and a chance to pressurise Judge Bashir to rule in favour of defence and get any deal going if possible by inciting public that they are being hard done when prosecution had nothing. (PTI still absent from trial court)

(Again!!! Do note that I mentioned in December post that all that is required is a couple of Party lawyers presence in trial court and outside to give counter narrative and keep showing the mirror on the spot after every hearing....Something that was done successfullyvin the past by PTI to counter PMLN during Panama hearings.)

It is just another POV which actually was held by some PTI core committee members but was over ruled in favour of wait and watch as it was considered something between state and PMLN...im sure, much to the delight of a depressed PMLN which was looking for a resurrection after Panama defeat...

I think Bakvas Sharif and Maryam Bakvas's demand should be entertained and even go a step forward .

I think, the more the transparency, the better for both sides .

I'm sure the accused leadership of PMLN will not shy away from the whole truth to come out in public view.

I'm sure @Tameem that you and your brethren will also support a demand that even JIT investigation interviews and interrogation recordings of the accused should be made public too.


As a matter of fact, Wajid Zia should second the duo and demand the above himself too.
