Bro, there is a reason that there is a body called SJC.

Our history has given us Justice Abdul Qayyum, Molvi Mushtaq, Justice Dogar, Justice Khleeq uz Zamaan, Justice Naseem Hasan Shah type judges. Sadly, our judicial history is full of such names and that's the reason why our country has reached this low.

I have met court judges in my life who asked me 1 million rupees to write the judgement myself. It seems you have not been involved with Pakistani judiciary at all.

In 1998, it was Mr. Khaleeq uz Zamaan who allegedly received brief case full of currency and revolted against the then CJ, because he called NS in contempt of court. Judiciary maligned judiciary and that will remain a black spot in the judicial history of Pakistan. He was awarded with the governor's post in exchange of his services to the government.

And who doesn't know about Molvi Mushtaq? Even judges today don't refer to his bench's verdict. People criticize the judgements and it's their right.

What you are saying is true during the proceeding of a case. Even then you can ask to change the bench if you have valid concerns about the judges.

Today I was reading somewhere that one man is in jail because he stole 400 rupees 19 years back. He is in jail since then. What a poor soul.

Due to our judicial history, we will have to keep our eyes open, and the reports are that NS is trying to repeat the episode of 1998 again. You never know this time Justice Qazi Isaa plays the role of Justice Khaliq uz Zamaan. If you read the verdict, you will know what we are talking about. Almost every one on media and in the bar councils is making fun of the verdict.

I would humbly request you to read 1- the note written by Justice Khosa when he recused himself from the bench, 2- Hudaibiya verdict written by Justice Qazi Isa's bench. Once you read these two gems, please provide your point of view here and then we can discuss the merits of both.

Buddy I said we have black sheep but still we can't defame the judges. Even if they are like justice qayum or molvi mushtaq type. Only president have the authority to send their case in SJC just like what happened with Iftikhar Ch. We must follow constitution even if no one else is following. Next time vote for a person who promise to legislate more accountability over judges.
And for NS decisions, he got what he sought. Personalities have no value over institutions or political parties. If he is gone then he is gone. World will/should not stop for him!

Few members have contributed on these threads very heavily and @Farah Sohail has been at the top. She has worked tirelessly over the 18-months or so, giving all of us very valuable information.

It is just not her who has commented adversly on the judges. Many others have done so too.

Therefore, her remarks were in the light of an on-going discussion over the last two years. I think you took and read her post out of context.

I really sorry for being direct here, but just wanted to put the things in perspective.

Nicely summed up. I hope we can now move on from this explanations on our behalf part, our pov is all the more meaningful since the PM has decided to join his Kingpin in the campaign to malign the most upright of the top judiciary...really makes our current discussion and criticism of verdicts in favour of corrupt seem miniscule in the face of the personal tirade against the judges by the ruling thugs.

That's also true and goes parallel to what @PakSword has mentioned. We should pray for everyone in need but at the same time, know, understand and take "IBRAT" of the cold hard reality of a corrupt tubber facing MakafateAmal of the misery they have been doling out to the people of Pakistan by looting and plundering national wealth for more than 30 years.
