Palm oil falls 2% on lower-than-expected exports amid India-Malaysia tensions

Mahatir is probably going in few months, give power to Anwar Ibrahim as promised.
For the time being, it's better to ignore Mahatir.
that means pakistan have few months left for thier friend ,
and on forum they were talking importing of palm oil from malyasia ,
lol what a shamers:omghaha::nana:

.
.
I think we in Bangladesh should help uncle Mahathir by buying palm oil from Malaysia as a substitute for India $hit edible oil products. So should other Muslim countries. These Sanghis are asking for a fight.

Eat $hit Sanghis.

And who wrote this friggin anti-Malay article? Two ingrate Malay-Chinese and another Ingrate anti-Malay Indian. 2% drop is nothing.

Malay and Indonesian brothers, see the colors of these people. Treacherous Fifth columnists!!

@UKBengali bhai look at this...

I don't really understand how Malaysia doesn't have any option to retaliate. They can surely retaliate by kicking out Indian workers, can't they?

Malaysia have huge trade surplus with India and this country also rely so much on export, Malaysian export constitute 71 % of their GDP. If trade war happens between the two countries, Malaysia will be in loser side.

A big NO ,
THEY cant kick them out as the indians there are as much malaysians (i.e I mean native malaysian indians) as the chinese and malays.
rather than retaliating they chose to buy sugar from INDIA to settle the matter.
and let me tell you the tamil indians are most feared in malaysia, you can ask anyone from malaysia on the forum.

Nah they can't do it.
Indian diaspora is strong there.

Malaysia have huge trade surplus with India and this country also rely so much on export, Malaysian export constitute 71 % of their GDP. If trade war happens between the two countries, Malaysia will be in loser side.

Malaysians of Indian origin have been their since the British days, they honestly have very little if any connection to India. Even Indian tamils consider them culturally distinct.

.
(Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkey and Pakistan can increase imports of Palm oil from Indonesia and Malaysia):omghaha:
how can indonesia and malaysia import palm oil from indonesia and malysia ( i.e their own country ) LOL
GOD you bangladeshi's are a defination of idiots.
and i am a sanghi too and as you say i dont randomly abuse or beat up muslims rather i have more muslim friends than hindus

Bangladeshis seem worried more than malaysians themselves over this palm oil with India... :flame:

Indian diaspora is strong there.

Your explanation is not so simple. Indian diaspora if they are on visa and not citizens can't do anything if their visas are cancelled. Indians of Tamil origin are a different matter, they are citizens.

@Indos explanation is correct, it's the trade surplus Malaysia has.

don't worry bro
its not their enmity speaking its their jealousy.
by the way malaysia is willing to settle the dispute by importing our sugar, so its clear now they wont be supporting pakistan anymore.

yeah mate
I was trying to tell you that , the permanent indian malaysian citizens wont allow their other non citizen indians to be pointed out and kicked out of the country , for a mere trade disagreement and An old man blabbering nonsense on international stage , rather malyasia would be in a lose lose condition.
and indian diaspora in malaysia has a hard hand in the politics of malaysia.
SO, nah it cannot be done .

The price is fallen just 2 % while Palm Oil Price has been in huge increase in late 2019. It looks like Indonesian 20% biodiesel program affect the market so hard. That data that show decreasing import is more likely caused by increasing Palm Oil price that make the trader switch the buying into soybeans and sunflower oil @Beast

This is the news in December.

Eye-Watering Palm Oil Price Sees India Turn to Sunflower

Oil Pratik Parija Bookmark December 12 2019, 2:30 AM December 12 2019, 8:35 PM (Bloomberg) --

Palm oil’s searing rally likely forced many buyers from India to the sidelines in November, with purchases by the world’s biggest importer dropping to a five-month low. Sunflower oil imports jumped.

The world’s most-consumed cooking oil has soared about 50% since the middle of July on concerns about falling output and growing demand for biofuel, making shipments expensive for the South Asian nation. Lower purchases by India may boost inventories in top producers Indonesia and Malaysia, and potentially put a lid on prices. “The speed at which prices rose wasn’t expected by the market,” said G

LOL. The data that you bring is not palm oil price but palm oil monthly stock :D

Really? This report is just an estimation.

Look at this chart for 2019 palm oil prices... It has already take a heavy beating in 2019. Even if it climb 20%, palm oil is still an sunset industries. EU has given the blow. Palm oil is not some essential items.
