That is well put. The Gulf States obviously dictate much of the affairs in the Arab world. The Palestinians are frankly hurting their own cause when Pakistan supports them. We are not stupid. We know the statement Palestinians are making by removing their ambassador a day after Indian bitching. We will keep supporting Palestine no matter which ever way the Arabs view Pakistan vis-a-vis India. However, we also have interests. Iran has them too. Every nation has interests. Anyone who supports our enemy cannot be deemed a friend.

It has nothing to do with being weak. We as Pakistanis continue to turn a blind eye to pro-India Arab stance. The reason for our leniency is no secret. As Muslims we feel the obligation to support our brothers which is no bad thing. However, Palestinian/Arab actions, time and time again, showcase that to them India is more important. That is good for the Arabs, but Pakistan also has other choices. Our leniency and genuine feelings shouldn’t be taken for granted. We need to communicate that to the Arabs. Supporting each other is a two way street.

Case in point, we recently witnessed how India blatantly displayed disregard for its all weather ally Israel. What does that teach us?

Pakistan can also play this game of appeasing both sides. At times, giving one side preferential treatment as opposed to the other.

Our leadership takes their cues from the Middle east. Half of our people love one sectarian bigoted regime, and the other half loves the other. We have thousands of killed in sectarian violence between Sunnis and Shias because they hate each other because of their respective overlords in the Middle East.

We imported this sectarian war inside our country. Our corrupt political leadership is supported by oil rich Arab nations who come to their rescue whenever they are in deep trouble. We have soldiers stationed in a country that tried to divide the Army in to Sunni/Shia BS.

As for Bakistanis, they are a different breed from Pakistanis. Bakistanis are the likes whom love kissing the behinds of people in the Middle east while Pakistanis are normal sane people who are fed up of being dragged in to the sectarian conflict and other BS that has been imported by the brain dead Bakistanis. Keep the Middle east shyte in the Middle east. I will start caring about the conflict there when they start caring about Kashmiris.

Most comments are related to criticising how Pakistanis put other international causes before their own. Yes Palestine is oppressed and hardly anyone here supports Israel but the average commentator is angered as to why Arabs do not place Kashmir as a priority just as how Pakistanis place Palestine as one of our top priorities affecting the Muslim world. Many are criticising the Pakistani nation rather then condemning Palestinians. Neither am I suggesting Pakistan should stop supporting the Palestine cause. The point of view in question is regarding Pakistans stance on Palestine and the Arabs. Is it even worth Pakistans effort of showing support to the Arabs when there are huge problems inside Pakistan?
