Talks should resume but only when they promise to address our concerns regarding militancy in Pakistan from Afghanistan and consulates who are there for providing rotyaan and for so called welfare work. I am sure Durrani will have similar thoughts.

But then not Doval has gone to meet your ex NSA. He has come to Doval in our country. We are no more interested in talks.

Years of fighting, meddling in each others affairs, killing each others soldiers and citizens, amassing huge quantities of weapons............. what has all this achieved? Nothing except the specter of more war, misery for the common people of both countries, and the threat of mutual destruction.

There can be no way forward except to make peace and its not as impossible as it sounds. Other far more bitter enemies made peace. There is no military solution to this problem. The only way is to keep talking to each other and hope that one day sense prevails for the benefit of the people of both countries.
