Pakistan's richest man, invests in Pakistan's biggest Mall

These malls and fancy buses mean nothing. Problem that should be concentrated on are a good education system for the public, good healthcare, poverty eliviation etc.

These fancy malls and shopping plazas are mainly targeted toward the rich and their pleasures. They mean nothing, even in economical sense. In the US malls are going out of business left and right. People find much better and cheaper deals online.

Hi,

Whatever you want to call it-----pkistan had lesser qualms with its sexuality then.
Thats not just Pakistan but many others countries as well 60s and 70s. were those magical times when rock an roll was king and crack and heroine queen.

Once the younger generations had shot up enough drugs in their veins in the name of liberalism and enough teenage girls had gotten knocked up and dumped their babies on every corner; reality sunk in andsociety came together to teach kids about the dangers of illegal drugs, teenage pregnancies, aids and stds.

I don't think that's going backward but rather teaching your kids what's right.

When you know NOT of the environment of the other nation.. then best not to comment on it. The environment you might see in a mall in Karachi is not much different in what is portrayed in these artistic impressions.. the only odd thing odd is the Sheiks in thawbs.
Actually even in Karachi it depends. Go to the malls of southern side and you'll see modern chicks hanging out. Go to a mall on the northern side and you'll find 70% burka avengers.

Yes, but the question is whether this is how the people want to dress themselves or are forced to because of north and south.
The same could be said of areas in Lahore.. it depends on the freedom to what you want.. and the tolerance level of people.

I personally feel that it has more to do with cultural difference in both sides. Even most of the burka wearing women are often wearing skin-fit sliky burkas which actually kill the purpose of wearing it. So what I can make out of it is that they are not wearing it because of its purpose but because it has become a culture over there.
