See the issue when u fight a guerrilla force is that the guerilla forces almost everytime choses when to fight and where to fight.
This puts any conventional armed force on the back foot.

The Sukhoi Su-30MKI is the most potent fighter jet in service with the Indian Air Force in the late 2000s.[41] The MKIs are often fielded by the IAF in bilateral and multilateral air exercises. The results have been widely publicized, with the Indians winning "90% of the mock combat missions" against the American force's F-15C.[49] When questioned on the capabilities of IAF pilots, Col Greg Newbech, USAF Team Leader made the following remarks: - "What we’ve seen in the last two weeks is, the IAF can stand toe-to-toe with best AF in the world. I pity the pilot who has to face the IAF and chances the day to underestimate him; because he won’t be going home. Indian hospitality from everyone has been truly overwhelming. The greatest compliment we heard from an IAF pilot, 'You American pilots are just like us, simply down to earth people.' We depart India with great respect for the Indian Air Force. Your pilots, maintain and support crew are exceptional professionals."[50].

The only way to find out is to send your troops in to Afghanistan and we shall see that how they would perform in its most dangerous regions. You clearly have no idea of challenges of Afghanistan.

B/W Taliban do not face any shortage of arms.

Afghanistan is often labelled as the "graveyard of empires."

• British failed over there.
• Russians failed over there.
• Americans are planning a safe-exit from there too.

Even in the past, Afghanistan was never fully controlled by any Empire.

The Americans handicapped themselves deliberately in Cope India excercies. It was a ploy to get F22 inducted ASAP.

Do you seriously think that IAF stands any chance against the full might of the USAF?

The handicap was at the request of the IAF who wanted to simulate the USAF to simulate PAF fighters..
otherwise the results would have been very different..

last i read was,

Pakistan has more than 500 155mm SP guns, 1200 155mm Towed artillery...

IAF definately is strong but not as strong to wipe out PAF completely...

Though global firepower means over all capability of a country that include military+technology+manpower+resources+economy but I have to say countries like Japan, Germany, France cannot be won by any third country except USA. They can give a fierce fight to other top powers in their own land and even win the war (that also except USA).

When countries like USA, Russia, Japan, Germany, France, UK fight against Suddam's Iraq or Talibani Afghanistan we cannot see their real technological powers but if they fight against a well established military with good army, navy and air force we will see their real capabilities. That will be like winning video games but insurgencies or terrorists are totally different things altogether.
