Pakistan’s PL-15 Missile Equipped JF-17 Block 3 is a Serious Game Changer - How India Can Respond to

Such a fantastic plane is not deployed by its maker. i.e China. They prefer Mig 21 instead.
we have footage of us downing 6 Indian SU30, 12 Indian Rafale and footage of us sinking 8 Indian warships. The only difference is that me saying that is still more of a possibility than your claim.

India is the only nation in the world that records footage just to say it has footage and not to show it.
1. They don't have to explain anything. The JFT is currently in service with multiple airforces, where multiple countries have put their trust in the platform. That fact alone speaks for itself.

2. The same jet was one of the ones along with the PAF Mirages, which conducted the strikes near the IA military installations and what was IAF's response ... having its jet shot down at the hands of the adversary, having its pilot captured at the hands of the adversary, shooting down its own chopper, killing its own soldiers ... and celebrating running away i.e. Amraam dodging . Lastly, not to mention, where was the retaliation by the IAF's side after being so thoroughly embarrassed at the international stage? Oh yes, conducting events and seminars praising the IAF with friendly analysts ... that too ended up stating that the IAF is BS-ing .

3. Coming back to the topic however, much has been discussed about the PL-15, however nothing on PL-10 as the next gen SRAAM for PAF. Any news/ developments in that regard?
PL-10 has already been integrated on JF block 3. It has been seen flying with it :)
We are replacing so why should I explain. Tjose who does not induct such great game changer plane should explain.
There are more JFs flying with foreign air forces than there are Tejas flying with the Indian armed forces.

JF-17 block 3 carrying PL-10E. You can look at all the Block 3 prototypes and notice they have elongated wingtip rails for carrying PL-10.

Last I recalled Pakistan was the largest user of the JF-17. Not our fault you haven’t learned how to read. Now remind me how many Tejas are in service again? If any? (leave it to Indians to call IOC birds without any BVR capability “operational“).

Why don't you put your jets one at 400 KM and another at 300 and know for sure how deep PL 15 can kill? You wouldn't believe anyone else's claims otherwise.

Except the fact that the same aircraft violated an airspace controlled by you, bombed an area controlled by you, was part of the CAP mission against your aircrafts and went back with zero losses and following it, had no retaliation against it whatsoever.

All that AFTER announcing that we would be responding.

Just a little side point from someone whose been here on this forum for more than a decade, the point of PLAAF not inducting the JFT has been raised since almost the time PAF inducted the JFT. Many threads were derailed (like this one) based off this point, and at the end of the day, the aircraft is trusted by multiple airforces, has been part of multiple exercises in which it has performed up to the mark, has been part of real missions including against the insurgency as well as against the IAF. If after all the list of accomplishments that it has , you still want to reduce the discussion to "But the PLAAF hasn't inducted it" or "China ka maal hai" then by all means go ahead. I sincerely hope that the minds in the IAF think across the same lines, so that the next time a face off occurs the results are much the same with IAF running to the media for its cover.

We have Mirage equipped with MICA, We have Jaguar Darin III With AESA, we have Mig 29 UPG with state of art EW and Electronics, Our TejasMk1 is comming with state of art AESA and wide range of weapon options like Astra Mk2, AMRAM, Python 5, I derby , R77, R37 etc. This everything can outclass any China can come up with.
Heard the same about SU30 MKI before 27th feb 2019 occurred. Everything fell short. Now its Rafale, when it falls short, then it will be some other.

literally Nobody said it had 400 or 300KM range except Indians crying their asses off about it. Go read my post a few pages back.

Come on!?? The PLAAF uses the J-10, which uses similar systems albeit in a larger and better optimised to its own needs airframe. As such - and regardless the few hundred J-7s still in service - there si no need for yet again a small, lightwight fighter with less range and weapons load capabilities below the J-10, which is rated the lower end in the PLAAF fighter combo (the higher end making the Flanker series).

As such it is in no way a reason to argue or even rate it as proof for a bad quality or whatever, it only does not fit the PLAAF's needs.
 
Big positive for PL-15 is it's AESA seeker which will be very difficult to jam, it's seeker will also be able to home in jamming capable too so any IAF plane will find it very difficult to avoid it, once its in air and racing towards it's target.
Maybe so. But proof of pudding is in the eating!
 
Do you want to say that it is less capable? Here, it is projected as game changer.

Point is, the PLAAF needs larger, heavier and longer ranged fighters and as such, Yes - for the PLAAF - it is not capable enough, But - at least I suspect what you are aiming for - thi is in no way a reason to mock it or miscredit the JF-17 simply since range is not an as important factor for the PAF like it is for the PLAAF.
Even more, adding yet another fighter with similar capabilities with a different engine would have added yet another chain of logistics. As such the PLAAF decided against it ... Pakistan had once no other option, needed a lesser range-devoted fighter with a different budget. As such the JF-17 is - and especially based on Pakistan's then capabilities a true "game changer". Most of all since it is affordable, they can build, maintain and modernise it alone at home within a reasonable budget als a lowever end complement to their high-end fighter, the F-16C/D.


Seen from the outside as a defence analyst and PLAAF specialist, in fact Pakistan managed exactly what India always wanted with its Tejas ... but they opted for a different approach, a slightly less ambitious path of introduction since they decided to introduce it block-wise - and eventually at first with a greater percentage of assistance, but in the end, they succeeded whereas India still waits for the Tejas the IAF accepts in numbers, the Tejas is much too late and still not what the IAF truly wants.


But PLAF operates Mig 21.


No, the PLAAF uses J-7 a de facto a licenced variant tailored to their own needs, but in PLAAF the J-7 is only in service in very few true second line fighter units and for training.
