How could they manage to flip that ship??? Is it due to the narrow lanes???

And, how could they keep the hatch of the boomer open???? It should have redundant closed loop control mechanisms - pneumatic, digital, analog etc. - for such a top$ asset!!!!! Or, is it something else??!?!!

If it happened in the torpedo storage area then this is not about the OPEN HATCH---it is more likely the torpedo accident while being loaded---.

It is the KURSK accident all over---only this time it happened at port---.


At .50 second the guy says " sounded like a rocket engine---so that is either a torpedo or a missile that fried itself in an accident while being loaded---.

Incident 1. Indian Sub "Sindhu Rakshak" a Russian Kilo class sub that has just returned in June from Russia after major US$80 million overhaul/refit sank on August 14, 2013 in Bombay Dockyard due to onboard explosions while loading armament late at night. (this incident was caught on video)

Incident 2. A 3 billion Dollar Indian Nuclear missile Sub "Arihant" (basically a modified Russian Akula class) completed in October 2016, suffered a major damage besides embarrassment and humiliation in propulsion room a few months later in February 2017 when apparently somebody forgot to secure a hatch, at least that the story released by Indian Navy, what happened in reality is still a secret.

INS Arihant is not Akula, Its close to Delta Class. INS Chakra is Akula Class sub on loan to IN from Russia.

I am not saying that Pakistan is building a nuclear submarine but it is building something. For many years it was in the floating dock and more recently it was transferred to the Naval dock. It’s under wraps but easy to figure out it’s a submarine and it is not one our Agostas. Just check Google Earth.

I have had reliable information about Pakistani crews operating on some friendly nuke boats to gain experience, for a long time now. They have made many port calls.

If true, and if Pakistan can fix its economy, it’s not inconceivable Pakistan could lease out at least 1 Type 093G (if not 3 to always have one on deterent patrol) after 2035 (only 12 years from now), a comparable ship to improved Akulas and better then the Improved Los Angeles boats, when the Type 093B/G will be 20 years old and sharing of the technology won’t effect PLAN, which will probably be fully transitioned to more than two dozen Type 095s.

Leasing one of the two original type 093 would probably not be helpful considering their noise levels, and its probably best to focus on maximizing the capabilities of the Hangor class subs this decade, with hopefully the last three having at least 8 VLS for long range LACMs, and forming a modest second strike force until the PN can afford SSNs with LACMs or small SLBMs.
