Pakistan is not an important country. Pakistan's importance will go further south when US leaves Afghanistan, Importance is defined by economic strength and international influence, both lacking in Pakistan. What realization is there in Washington? Obama has other issues to worry about.



India already has assets in Afghanistan including paramilitary forces. Though unlike NATO they are not meant to hunt taliban but guard Indian territory like consulates, economic infrastructure etc. Funny that you talk about balls when your own army is losing yet another war in their own country.

And your economy is able to handle strikes in Peshawar and elsewhere? India has a growth rate of over 7 percent, what is the growth rate of Pakistan?

Pakistan has no control over taliban, the TTP is defeating Pakistan army. Worry about energy crisis, unemployment, growing debt and a dead economy. India is beyond your league.

@Indian Patriot - Whats with all the chest-thumping? China has a big stake in Afghanistan as its a neighbor to her. Is Afghanistan a neighbor to India? Afghans and Pakistanis are same people, most of our customs and traditions are same let alone the religion.Yes, India has its support in the northern-alliance and thats at the cost of all the luxuries they enjoy, but its artificial just like the regime supported by Russians or the monarchy supported by Britishers.Afghans know their land is infested by perpetrators, and we also acknowledge that there have been miscreants from our end.But that doesn't affect our relationship in the long run.India is worried at the moment as karzai era is over and the new Afghan govt. is cooperative with us. India has a lot to loose in this, their consulates have already started shutting down and the people you call your assets are on the run. Regardless what anybody here fantasises about; China has deadly worries about the rabid Islamist types taking over in Afghanistan. As it is, they have a persistent headache in Xinjiang with the Uighyrs. Ditto with the Russians, who do not want an Islamist Crescent below their southern under-belly. This has been the subject of tripartite discussions between Russia, India and China over the last few years...... and they are all on the same page on this issue.

The Taliban already have their presence in Pakistan,Are u less satisfied with the havoc done by the Taliban in Pakistan,The peshawar carnage,the bomb blasts at Wagah border.
What about the military operation This- E-Thats against TTP,what is the operation meant for,is it to kill Taliban or to send them in India

It is not under my control to give orders to deploy assets. There is always a right time for that and with years of preparation.

Why do you think, US gives Pakistan the term ally? Because of Pakistan's influence in Afghanistan regions of Nuristan and etc.

No. Pakistani influence will always be there no matter what. u have got to be realistic.

When I say about influence, it also matters what level and type of influence. Example: Pakistan has few assets in Nuristan to give them detail of all movement of US assets, but the strongest faction in Nuristan talks directly with the americans and Pakistan has no means to counter them if that faction launches covert operation against Pak Army.

1)Pakistan does not want US to speak Indian words. The increasing influence of Indians on both republican and democrats is what Pakistan fears. Because the Indian diaspora is counted among the most elites.

2) Pakistan wants USA to be a mediator between India and Pak on Kashmir issue.

3) USA would not like to lose Pakistan because, Pakistan is only friendly country close to afghanistan.

4) USA would not like to lose India , because it is the only friendly country in S.Asia having potential to check mate china, militarily and economically.

5) Nuclear factor.

6) China has US debt and vice versa. They are dealing hugely.

So US has to remain friendly with all three China, India , Pakistan irrespective of . They want to keep all three happy.
a) China desk is master in bringing Business to China, making billions out of China's production.
b) Indian desk is master in bringing Business to India, pressuring Pakistan on Let and other factions. Feeding anti China elements

c) Pakistan desk is master in supporting Pak army. I wouldn't be surprised if US had helped Musharraf to take over.


When all of three are happy, the conflict lingers on.
