Pakistan’s Japanese-dominated car market set to attract Europe and Korea

.
It will be interesting to see how it all pans out. Pakistan can gain a lot by simply letting in whoever wants to assemble SKD or FKD kits and develop a good supplier and logsitics chain over time....then full fledged production of various relevant classes should commence after say 5 years of basic investment and experience for all the players in the Pakistan market. Pakistan can definitely send a few experts to see the stories in Thailand, India, South Africa, Mexico, China etc in this regard and learn and implement the best production/investment strategy for its needs. Definitely high time judging from the prices that are being quoted here.

Pakistan govt will probably need to lower the relevant excise tariffs, tariffs in general and also maybe create automobile focused SEZs to attract the relevant capital from the international market.....especially if it wants to grow capacity rapidly.

You summed it all up pretty nicely.
the real Question is will the politicians that have been fed heavily by the Big 3 allow the officials to visit other countries and check the success stories since that'll directly affect the the Big 3 and will eventually allow some new entrant to challenge their monopoly.

Yes you are right I have just entered 30 and I envy current college goers for the choices of bikes they have these days.
The exterior they are wanting to keeping it classic but they have updated the actual heart of the bike and comfort level of the bike to current standards.
I swear Im a total fan of Indian Bikes, such a huge range of different Bikes and designs topping it all up with everything produced locally so basically you guys get to drive some awesome Bikes for very cheap rates,

I bought a 150 cc Suzuki Bike This feburary for 1 lak 22 thousand and its spares are quite expensive.

all the other bikes pretty much are junk here so I had to go for the Suzuki 150 which is pretty decent and probably the best choice i could think of.

That's expensive. Suzuki model bikes have flopped here. I don't see many of the bikes here. New model Bajaj pulsar bikes are almost like race bikes. They tempt you so much to just get onto them and test its limits. Hopefully you get access to these bikes very soon.

How are the sales of Hybrid Cars in Pakistan?

Yes, it's an Indian bike. Hopefully our relations will improve someday for at least cross border trade and business, then Bajaj will be happy to be there. :)

they have indeed very good looking bikes and as much as id like to see em here, I doubt they'll ever be here however there recently has been a revamp in motorbike Industry here In Pakistan and Yamaha has stepped in with Yamaha 125 an surprisingly it looks quite similar to the 150 cc bajaj bike.

anyhow I was wondering whats the mileage of the Bikes in India,

the suzuki 150cc gives almost 43 Kms in one litre.
heard the bikes there are much more fuel efficient.

Indian consumers are mileage-sensitive :) So, the companies do spend a lot in r&d to make them fuel efficient. However, milage primarily depends upon the cc of the engine.

As long as the three automobile manufacturers (Suzuki, Honda, Toyota) continue to sufficiently grease the palms of the bureaucracy and politicians.......................forget about cheap and high quality vehicles.

They ain't coming.

Surely there must be a breaking point from Pak Awam?

Situation looks unsustainable if Pakistan wants to grow and become a 1 trillion dollar economy in a reasonable time frame.
