'Pakistan's attempt to reconcile with Bangladesh will fall flat'

Better asked from your Modi , who in a ceremony during his Bangladesh tour said that former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had played an active role in separating Bangladesh from Pakistan and he also openly admitted that he had also come to Delhi in 1971 to participate in the Satyagraha Movement launched by Jana Sangh as a volunteer to garner support for the 1. Mukti Bahini members who wear the Pakistani army uniforms and massacred and raped million innocent bangalies and west Pakistani was in east Pakistan.

The higher number talked about was a deliberate attempt to defame and demoralize the Pakistani army, to demonstrate to the world extent of an Indian victory. It was also helpful in putting meat to the story of three million killed, hundreds, and thousands of rapes and genocide. 2.An army of less than 40,000, spread over a vast theatre of conflict under attack from guerrillas supported by the Indian army was hardly in a situation of doing what it was accused of. The total figure, a mix of soldiers and civilians, was deliberately floated by Indians, and later by Bangladeshis to support their victimization. In Pakistan, a clever Bhutto used this for various reasons for his politics. No one ever wanted to clarify. This is the right time for both countries that sit together and start communication and do a meritious investigation of what happens and who is the real culprit behind million people massacred on both sides.

who cares about bangaldesh ..
Look at us , it's a Pakistani forum but have you ever seen we have visited any other forum so often other than this one? In coronavirus thread some of us used to post .

On the other hand there was a time when Pakistani trolls day and night spent time here only you write one line and that is , " We don't care about Bangladesh" . Now you decide who actually cares whom!

I have been to many countries and I do have an interest in visiting Bangladesh. Problem is the visa, there is some kind of sponsorship required not just for Pakistanis visiting BD but also for Bangladeshis visiting Pakistan. Our mutual tourism volume is non existent.

Let's just say if I ever visit BD easily, I'd be spending atleast a thousand dollars. Which is not much. But think about it, what if 1 million Pakistanis visit BD and spend $1K only - that means 1 billion dollars added to BD economy.

Now, let's just say, 1 million Bangladeshis also visiting Pakistan annually adding 1 billion to Pakistan's economy.

More cultural exchanges, more people to people contact etc. win - win for both the parties involved (this might trouble some folks ;) )

PS: If I remember correctly(somebody correct me if not), in the year 2018/19, 2.4 million Bangladeshis visited India and spent around 8 billion dollars - adding that much amount to Indian economy and also increasing their annual visiting foreigners numbers .

if such articles are being written. Then yes Pak BD relations are going in the positive directions and improving by the day.

Modi hai to mumkin hai.

Don't know about papa new guina but I do know where Papua New Guinea is....

We can also point to pakistan on the map, many of your countrymen come to Bangladesh for university studies, it is good for regional cooperation because when they go back they can spread the good word about Bangladesh among those who'd rather stay ignorant.
You can point out pakistan because its your boggy man
You use pakistan to hang men who are poltical opponents to your leader(all hail hasina)..

How many? Doubt there are any?
Many will go to china or europe or america but bangaldesh ????

I don't think it makes much sense for Pakistanis to visit Bangladesh or vice versa. You will have to spend $1K + just on air fare, you can spend the same amount of money to visit Europe/US/Africa
Bangladeshis visit India because it is cheap and some have family there, $40/$50 will get you from Dhaka to Kolkata by road getting the visa is fairly easy as well.
Until there are cheap direct flights, tourism does not make sense.

Bangladesh cannot afford to become hostile towards India.

By indian definition "hostile" means Bangladesh pursuing INDEPENDENT" foreign policy where Bangladesh has good relation with all countries including Pakistan. Independent foreign policy is exactly what in Bangladesh constitution and was pursued by Sheikh Mujib.

Perhaps, you need to define what you mean by "hostile towards India"???

No Doubt about it bcz Haseena has hate against Pakistan ingrained in her DNA.
Let’s not blame Hasina at every turn. She’s surrounded by stooges just like her dad. If she continues, she’ll end up her father’s way

Hostile means overtly showing enmity. Using diplomacy and tactics Bangladesh should decline India and her treaties however these should not be overt.
Bangladesh can decline India as many times as it wants.. so as long as we’re not militarily hostile... we’re fine.

No Bangladeshi government since independence was "hostile" with india by your definition. As I mentioned, indian definition of "hostile" is completely different. india LABEL Bangladesh pursuing good relation (trade or otherwise) with other countries as "hostile". There are sizeable indian stooges in Bangladeshi regime, media and within professionals who's job is to sing indian "hostility" song whenever Bangladesh try to have good relation with some countries.

So, don't try to use this "hostile" term so loosely as indians use it for propaganda labeling.

My definition of hostility was between the people. Common Bangladeshis and Indians does not like each other however the government of both the countries are all cool.

Currently Bangladesh's only enemy, both militarily and diplomatically is Myanmar. Whatever people might say but there is a greater chance of Bangladesh being engaged in a war against Myanmar than against India.
