Yes most probably. I was a bit confused because of the yellow primer but I guess they have to remove the paint for major upgrades.

PNs new Sea Sultan MPAs are to be equipped with AESA radars so perhaps they can free up some AWACs from south, if capable enough for AA detection then PAF would be pretty comfy in terms of AWACs. Note the outer wing pylons equipped with IR AAMs for self defence or taking out other MPAs detected in deep sea.

These will at most be fitted with Maritime patrol radar plus only a optional forward facing aesa. Nothing awacs like in this.
There is however a different project by PN also underway such envisions a Lineage 1000 with a domestic AWACS radar to supplement sea sultan aircraft.

I'm not sure about AA detection, perhaps someone can check if that capability exists on them. If the Sea Sultan is comparable to Saab's Swordfish those MPA's are advertised as capable of AWACs role so this would be a big capability bonus.

Yes this will be a look down AESA (Sea Spray) for Surface vessel/ Sub Periscope detection not AEW mode.
