This is quite an important point. Many of the condoms that have been counted in the statistics are not related to birth-control at all. I've seen teenagers (around 12-14 mark) buy condoms from stores so there's no contraception here, just some typical curiosity.

By the way, load-shedding is also to blame for spoiling our youth. Many parks are filled with young boys and girls and it is impossible to go there without embarassing yourselves.

Better they spend some time with girls than spending some time with mullah!

Most of them just talk about being an honest person, respecting your elders and all those socially positive topics. How is that bad?

On my last travel to Pakistan i called up one of my good friends and asked what would he like - he own a general store in Hyderi Market. And guess what, he asked me for some expensive varieties of Durex in bulk! I took me a lot of market hunting to gather whatever stock i could find.

But I get your point. The maulvis in Pakistan teach according to a hundred different fiqh we have here while others are politically motivated. Sure, we see the bad ones all around. But this is because we consider the real maulvis as moderate and not really as "mullahs".

Try telling that to the average pakistani making 100 bucks a day. Cheap condoms fill a void left by the expensive imported brands, which is good. Some protection is better than no protection.

What will you do if you had 100 rupees, Pakistani made condom 5Rs. or Durex 150 Rs?

Sir I was joking. I totally understand its the poor who probably need condoms more, atleast in our countries. And these are the people who are the least aware.
