What's new

Pakistanies paid for Indian hostages as well !

I cant believe this wow how much pakistan paid for the indian hostages any idea?why nothing is shown about this event in indian media? no news channel is covering this news wtf

anyway thanks for saving the lives of my country men :pakistan:

$2.1 were paid to free hostages including 6 Indians.

The effort had not been highlighted in your media for obvious reasons. earlier an Indian had promised to pay for freeing Pakistani captain from pirates and thus this Indian and your media cashed the issue but later that Indian refused to keep his promise after which the Pakistani took the challenge and common people in Karachi raised the money to free both Indians and Pakistani hostages=.

Somali pirates finally release 22 hostages including six Indians
Monday, Jun 13, 2011,

Somali pirates today released 22 crew members, including six Indians and four Pakistanis, of a hijacked merchant vessel after ransom was paid to them, leading rights activist Ansar Burney said.

The pirates had taken the crew members, including Egyptians and a Sri Lankan, hostage after capturing the vessel MV Suez last year and demanded $2.1 million for their release. The ship belongs to an Egyptian company.

Burney, who negotiated with the pirates and raised money through donations, said in Karachi that all hostages had been freed. He said they would reach their homes in a few days as arrangements are being made for their repatriation.

The freed Pakistani captain of the ship, Mohammad Wasi, told Geo News channel on phone that all the hostages had been freed. "I am very happy as my release is like a new life for me," he said.

The Somali pirates had threatened the hostages on at least four occasions that they would be killed if the ransom was not paid, Wasi said.

The pirates had given several deadlines and extended them as they were told that the money was being arranged.

Wasi said 40 to 50 armed pirates would always guard the hostages, who were given only rice and pulses over the past 10 months.

"The pirates would give us whatever was left after they ate," he said.

The hostages had stored rain water and had been drinking that while they were being held on the ship.

The freed hostages include six Indian, four Pakistanis, 11 Egyptians and one Sri Lankan, Wasi said.

These Indian Hostages were simply innocent souls like our own. If we paid money for their release, it shouldn't matter, and for god's sake i hope the useless government in Pakistan doesn't make it use for it's diplomatic motives.

It was all for sake of humanity

By the way, whats the status on these hostages?

Thank you very much Pakistan.

Thanks Pakistan... fcuk our babus..

The babus are same even here so nevermind.

infact there were common people who collected money on roads for release of innocent mailers besides our Sindh Governor rest our central govt did nothing

1. Thanks to all who had contributed towards this.

2. Neither Indian nor Pakistani govt (except the governor of Sindh) did anything significant for release of the hostages.

3. The 22-member crew, which included 11 Egyptians, six Indians, four Pakistanis and one Sri Lankan, worked for an Egyptian company named Red Sea navigation.

4. Social activist Ansar Burney played a vital role in ensuring the release of the hostages by way of negotiation and raising donations.

5. A total amount of 2.5 million dollars, including ransom money was paid to the pirates. The money was dropped by a chartered plane.

6. Of the total ransom money, around a US$110,000 was raised by Pakistanis. Rest source yet to be declared includes donation from many nationalities.

7. The ransom paying is bound to encourage more pirates to take hostages. These mofos needs to be crushed at the earliest.

8. Neki kar - Dariya me daal.

Good news.

I wonder what happened to all the wealthy people in india that indians like to brag so much about?
The wealthy turds of India! Man, these bozos know nothing else other than becoming wealthier by dubious means with the help of corrupt netas and babus!! It's I, me, and myself! The lesser souls can go to hell!

Did these wogs even know that we had hostages aboard the hijacked ship? They're too busy with those palace intrigues and what's happening in the corridors of power! Our government is too busy trying to protect the corrupt that they don't have time for these 'minor' issues! Hmph!

I wish we had more Burnys here! All our stalwarts can do is pontificate. Just talk, talk, and talk, mostly crap! ....Oh well, you get the point!

Thank You Ansar Burney!
And to the Pakistani friends who contributed!

it was mostly collected by Pakistanis. secondly the rest is said to be paid by bahraini company.

as far as the line in bold is concern so you mean we should have let these innocent people killed by pirates and should not have paid?
