Pakistani visitor who came to watch Mohali match goes missing

In what could be a repeat of the 2005 one-day Mohali match between India and Pakistan after which 11 fans from across the border had gone missing, security agencies this time are on the lookout for a Pakistani national who had come to watch the India-Pakistan World Cup semi-final in Mohali, but has not gone back despite his visa expiring three days ago.

According to highly placed sources, the Intelligence Bureau is trying to track 66-year-old Ali Zameer who belongs to Karachi. He was issued a 15-day visa for Mohali, Delhi and Mumbai.

“Ali reportedly stayed in Chandigarh and after the match went missing. He was scheduled to watch the Mumbai match. The central intelligence agencies checked about his presence in Lucknow as there was a tip-off that he might have some relatives there, but he did not visit Lucknow,’’ said an intelligence official, adding that “all airports have been alerted to keep a tab on him”.

Zameer, whose visa lapsed on April 7, was amongst the 285 Pakistani fans who arrived in India via Wagah border to watch the World Cup semi-final in Mohali on March 30.

In 2005, 15 Pakistani fans who had come to Mohali to watch the India-Pakistan match had gone missing. While four of them were traced, there is still no word on the remaining 11.

Many Pakistani's relatives are here in India, so it happen that they stay at there relatives and later leave the country via Nepal-bangladesh

I don't see any terrorist angle here...

The state CID needs a kick for allowing this bloke to slip thru.

Ye to hona hi tha.

Golden chance for enemy intelligence agencies.

Even for the highly advanced organizations it's hard to keep track of so many people at the same time in such a densely populated country.
The only way to do it is through some kind of gps band which would be highly offensive. The only way to discourage this kind of activity is by forcefully blocking all illegal border crossing (which is very resource consuming), and then steadily identifying illegal immigrants inside the nation.

i think this man is abducted by that indian agency raw....this old man will be misused for sabotaging the diplomatic ties between Pakistan and endia sometime later

Not a bad idea actually. Have them wear a GPS device on their legs, like the ones Indian students were forced to wear in the US.

you should allow Pakistanis to bring in fire-arms with them for self-defence cause you very well know the lawlessness that prevails in your country....that old man has been abducted by either your law-enforcement or kidnappers for ransom and you very well know that;)
