Pakistani Ulema announced the New Fatwa against Terrorism and Violence on 26 May 2017

I'm wondering what took them so long and the govt (read establishment/army) to come up with this idea. I know there were a lot of scholars (ulemas) against this terrorism right from the beginning but somehow mysteriously govt did not consult them for all those years while we saw the whole country bleed when brainwashed teenagers from FATA used to blow themselves up on daily basis in the markets, shrines, mosques, madrassahs and schools and also killed the scholars who dared speak against it.

This should have been the first thing to do if the people ruling our country had a shred of sincerity, love & respect for the humanity and the religion and just an average IQ.

The way Pakistani establishment has dealt this issue is one of the biggest mishandling in the history of the country after 71's debacle. Our response was not the response of an educated nation but it ranged from that of a brain dead lethargic and confused one, at times, to that of an arrogant rogue tiny island state that had sold its sovereignty for some dollars and succumbing to some cheap chest thumping by the bullies of the world.

BTW, as they say, it is better late than never and those who are saying it is useless are living in some Disneyland because the terrorism has not ended and we still have TTP in Afghanistan and also the ISIS has been trying to take a foothold in South Asia especially Afghanistan and ultimately Pakistan. After ISIS gets defeated in the Levant (the middle east), its splinter groups will spread to other areas. Pakistan has a strong military response but that constitutes just one component of a wholesome approach. This FATWA can really deny them recruits or at least reduce the number drastically. However, we must keep an eye on those khawariji-mullah who will try to counter this decree (fatwa) and then it is the job of the govt/LEAs to take care of those idiots and terrorists supporters without any mercy and brings me to another question which still astounds is why Burqa Maulvi is still alive and walking freely?

It took them 15 years to reach this fatwa.. late but congratulations you joined to reject terrorism.

I think it is a failure on the behalf of the state not to consult the ulemas right from the start and assure them of the security. A lot of scholars have sacrificed their lives for voicing their sentiments against the terrorism but the govt never took them in confidence. Even right now what is the guarantee that these scholars won't be targeted by the terrorists and what security the govt is extending to them while all these corrupt bastards roam with miles long motorcades? The libtards who are ruling us have ruined everything and their disgust for the religion and the religious people has worsened the situation that could have been handled easily with extremely low losses as compared to the losses the country has born.

Get the signature of this SOB...

As you stated, he is SOB. His signature on the Fatwa would be like mixing a drop of contamination in purified water, and then no body would drink it. So, SOB should stay at the position of SOB, instead of listing him among Muftis.

So, please consider change in your attitude, and choose the positive direction. All humans have limitations, and Ulemas are also humans. If you are readily monitoring their conducts and strongly condemning on it, you should also consider and appreciate when they do a good job. And disrespecting anybody is not listed in our rights/freedom of expression.

You are absolutely right. Security of these Ulema is guarantee of future involvements, and success against terrorism, government should take necessary but serious actions to ensure the security of Ulema.

This should be printed out and put in each and every mosque in the country. Even in Lahore in some comparitively posh areas in a couple mosques iv seen small posters outside the entrance calling for the beheading of all blasphemours. I don't care whatever anyones opinion is on this matter but action should be taken against people who are putting up these posters and promoting vigilante action.

This fatwa is incomplete.it is to stop violence and terrorism in Pakistan but is it halal to do it in India and Afghanistan.

This Fatwa is complete and addressing issues within Pakistani context. Try to focus on point 2 as well, where you can get answer that it is not Halal anywhere. But if you are talking about Kashmir, yes this Fatwa is not applicable for Kashmir Jihadists.

Lol its a good step because people like you and me were seen as uncultured or westernized hence our opinions didnt count. But these are the chosen men. Millions look to them rather than what common sense and the law dictates. Which is why even them condemning this behaviour could stop the possible radicalization of millions.
