Why is that surprising?

I like how he promotes Punjabi though.. :)

I liked two things a lot about him. Pug and his beard, these two things are increasingly being lost in the upcoming sikh generation and this is whats gonna be the end of it. Although in India its not that apparent, however as soon as they land here...phisshhoo gone, only one of my friends has still been able to keep his pug since he came here

noo... its apparent in India even.. i had this discussion already on another thread but lot of things went into this killing of sikh identity.. one was the 1980s-1990s insurgency in Punjab where bearded baptized Sikhs were seen as extremists and were regularly picked up and killed by the army and police... and than throughout the whole 90s and even this decade there was huge propaganda against sardars.. even in bollywood sardars were shown as comics or clowns and it played a big part in psychy of the generation of 90s... and it became "un-cool" to wear a turban or to grow a beard... anyways sikh religion today has gone to the dogs anyways...

but you do find some guys here and there who have kept turbans and whats even more surprising is that they've never even been to india..so there is still hope, a lot depends on the parents..one thing tho they need to stop messing with there names

haha yeh I know what you mean lol.. but I have a lot of respect for the Sikh kids in western countries who keep their identity intact. Its not surprising that they haven't been to India.. those western sikh kids (the ones that keep their pagg and beard) I find are far more religious than kids in India.. in India you will find many hypocrites.. they will dress like proper sardars and they will do stupid stuff which goes against their religion and act like k*njars... because of those guys you get poor kids like Indian jatt here who think it is all kool to get drunk and come post here... :P (haha i'm kidding IJ.. ki haal ne.. :P)

I agree with you that kids in western countries should be respected cause they keep their identity intact,but tell me how many kids in western countries actually keep paggs? they do only when they are kids...but still it should be respected that they keep thier identity intact as a sikh inspite of being surrounded by western cultured kids around them.
..so according that theory I will say foreigners who are taking up sikhism is more rligious than the sikh kids in the west cause they continue following what they are supposed to..:azn:

Is IJ alone?? what about you Brar ?? Do you have a pagg?? don't you drink ?? many other things brother...
:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
(now dont reply saying that you dont keep pagg cause you have a habit of drinking..*ignore this if u if you follow both)

First of all.. how many kids in India keep paggs? secondly.. my point was that the kids in the west who wear a pagg are for religious reasons and they actually follow sikhi much much more than kids in India who keep their pagg.. also heres something else for u to think about.. look at mmm.. Pakistan origin sikhs... or lack of better word... people we sadly call "bhapay".. look at how religious those guys are and than look at ourselves... if those guys wear a pagg or grow beards it is because of religious reasons and they follow it to the core.. majority of them will not do drugs or drink.. than look at us jatts.. we wear pagg and grow beards not because of religion because we want to show off our "sardari"... and that includes chugging down alcohol.. the more expensive and imported the thing the more "sardari" it shows.. i mean its a bloody joke! than we call ourselves Sikhs lmao... so thats what I mean when I say Sikh kids in west are more religious.. because if they keep their turban and beard it is only because of religion.. no such thing as "sardari" exists there.. if they want to drink and do all BS than they turn their back towards their religion and don't wear a pagg or grow beard.. its simple as that..

..so according that theory I will say foreigners who are taking up sikhism is more rligious than the sikh kids in the west cause they continue following what they are supposed to..:azn:

yeh for sure thats true.. converts to Sikhi or to any other religion for that matter are far more religious than people that are born into the religion..

How do u know if i wear a pagg or not? or if i drink or not? guessing game much? loll... see heres the difference man.. even if i don't wear a pagg or even if i drink i will never advertise it.. especially more so if i'm representing Sikhi... and trust me.. when we say "we're Sikhs" on a non-Sikh forum.. than that means we are repping our religion.. so even if I do go against my religion I will never advertise itt like you did on this forum my brother.. ;)
