Israel has Nukes for years now,which country in ME was threatened due to that.

Pakistanis clapping their hands on Iran developing a nuke has to realise that Pakistan is closer to Iran than Israel.Iran emergence wol dundermine pakistans importance in Islamic world and increase the tensions too.

If Iran sided with India, against Pakistan, im sure we would call Iran a real friend, and stick with it. Sadly that is not the case as of now. India is developing close links with LOADS of nations, building its ties , this has been paced up recently. It would be evident to India observers. From Sudi Kings, to Myanamar's dictators, we are courting all. The aim is to be influential in a whole host of nations. Sometimes, the interests of 2 of India's friends might collide, and there we have to make a choice. And sadly we have.

I wont pretend, i never wanted India to vote against Iran. But getting the US nuke deal was way more important for the nation to progress. And sometimes we have to make the choices we dont want to, simply because of the circumstances.

I would like to start a discussion here in retrospect of the nuke deal.
We know and have heard that India wont compromise its foreign policy for US, and the US has said many times, that it wont force India to do so. But Iran is a perfect example of that. I understand that, the time at which this was done was crucial, to show the world of Indian seriousness in non-proliferation and the like. But, is this an isolated incident? Or the more we buy from US makes us dependent on them. We are going to buy more and more military equipment from the US, would be be subject to its whims and fancies??

What makes sure that we wont have to do what we did with Iran all over again?

And what if we do? What if we go with our OWN foreign policies? will that/can that make the US withdraw its nuke policy from us??

Israel has never threatened the existence of any nation in the middle east. But, most middle eastern countries don't recognise Israel, placing it under enormous threat. Iran's rabid president has publically called for Israel to be wiped of the map. Israel can't afford to let that madman get nukes because there is a very significant possibility of them deploying it. Israel having a small area doesn't have a reliable secondary strike capacity besides its navy which will make them very trigger-happy.
