Pakistani PM expess grievances to Bangladeshi PM Sheikh Hasina for 15th august 1975

I hope for Pakistan and Bangladesh to become materially closer.

India is a common enemy.

But apart from that, we are brothers in faith.

I hope we the people and the respective governments keep this in mind.

The time for moving beyond from the past is here.

Pakistan wouldn’t even be possible without the struggle of Bengalis. Don’t forget Saiful Azam , Muhammad Mahmood Alam and Waleed Ehsanul Karim, they were Bengali.
IMHO, Army should haves hanged greedy Bhutto and allowed Sheikh Mujibur Rehaman to be the PM of pakistan. This would have saved East Pakistan. If Quaid-e-Azam knew how Punjabi establishment will alienate Bengali and others, he would have abandoned the struggle for Pakistan.
Nah countries were way different culturally, ethnically and especially geographically to make a successful union

Seperation of the country was probably good for both regions

But how it happened is the point of contention

. . . .
If there's one character I want to change in Pak history it's Bhutto

He destroyed economy, country, culture of Pakistan

Why only that greedy soul ? Start from Liaquat ali khan till nawaz sharif and include all the bureaucrats. Pakistani elite each and everyone considered and still consider the country a personal fiefdom and nothing else.

Each and every ruler in Pakistan was a greedy dictator.

.
Mujeeb was right at least. Bhutto was greedy till country sake. Even, Yayah is accomplice.

Anyway, is it a bad thing to offer condolences? Do AL keep a mourning day for S.Mujeeb? Then it shd be ok for PM IK to say that
He didn't offer condolences

Mujeeb's connection with India is no longer secret, so technically both bhutto and Mujeeb were evil and Anti Pakistan, and Allah's justice get them both in a hilarious manner.

.
The guy who caused so much bloodshed for his lust of power, couldn't stay in power or even alive for long.
Karma.
Please do not curse Mujib anymore. He was less blood-thirsty than his daughter Hasina Bibi.

There were exceptions. Quaid-e-Azam, Khwaja Nazimuddin, HS Surawardy, and General Ayub Khan.

Among all, President Ayub Khan was the greatest planner and builder of industries and infrastructures. He was annihilated by ZA Bhutto in the west and Mujib in the east.

MM Alam was a Bihari and not a Bengali.
Said ul Alam was who he was because of the excellent training he got from his instructors at PAF risalpur and subsequent experience as a PAF officer.

having said that, what happened was majority (west Pakistan) our fault. We should have had a loose federation at best with each wing having independent functional government with maybe currency, foreign policy and name as one and having a ceremonial president that switched alternatively.

Bihar was never a part of Punjab or Sindh but was a part of Bengal all the time of Muslim history. They look like us. We have a common history. Bihar was separated from Bengal during British time.

We are Bengali because we speak Bengali. They are Bihari because they belong to the Hidustani/ Hindi/ Urdu belt. But Bihar, Jharkhand and Orissa were part of the Bengal Sultanate.

I find here people like @Homo Sapiens who knows nothing about history would criticize Biharis for nothing. He and such other people are Chetona Group of Bengali affiliated with the BAL. This guy even proposed to expel Chittagong Hill Tracts local people. He is such a heinous BAL brat!!!

I did a bit of counting.

If you count in Nurul Amin, Mujib, and not count Khan, Pakistan still had more Bengali heads of state, than Punjabis, 5 vs 4.

That is if you count Governor Generals as heads of state as per pre 1956 constitution. As I understood the status of formal head was drifting from GG to president to PM and back to president as Pakistan's constitution evolved.
