You don't uses 76mm against small targets, specially coastal waters because it's over kill, fighting war and policing at sea is different things.

The 1500 tons version of mpv has optional capability to add Ssm when needed per pn specs/requirement shared on this forum in another thread

I think non of the 1500 tons version has been delivered yet to pn/msa

Chinese built may be still in testing and kse built still not completed yet

PN is going for to many different types of ships and this could turn into a logistics and maintenance nightmare.

Unlike airforce maintenance requirements are much less complex and can be done with significant intervals contrary to msintenance required for aircarft even after each flight ...

If expected OPVs are being inducted directly in PN then these should have at least light ASHMs, SAMs and if possible torpedoes. The PMSA already getting many ships from China and Type-21 . The so far PN is lacking in case of OHP without proper air defense and MRTP 33s without any ASHMs installed.

The PN should immediately arm MRTP33s with ASHMS and if possible at least we can do is to get some SAM system from China and install it on OHP.
