Conversion to majority religion is not required to have a decent & peaceful life with equal rights as long as they are in India. I know it would be very difficult for you to understand, but at least you can try.

Why would they want that?

In India in common there is very liberal view of following your own religion and practices. These kind of rituals actually emphasizes more on communal harmony. Every one has the right to follow their religion and more importantly it's their wish how they would like to follows (as long as they are respecting social norms). More than 90% of Indians identify themselves as Indians first (don't ask me for reference, it's based on my own observation) and religion comes to them at latter stages.

You must feel happy that Muslims in India and are getting along with true Indians. Your fatwa won't deter them from doing collaborated religious ceremonies.

Where is fatwa? I am not a Mufti so my opinion is ONLY an opinion and not fatwa. Besides, you should be happy that I wish them to revert back to the religion of their forefathers. The Indian Muslims form 13.4% of Indian population. Wont it be great if they revert back to Hinduism and Hindus compose over 97% of the total population? Think about the harmony and peace resulting from this. No more 'love jihad', no more cow slaughter, no more communal riots. What is wrong in this suggestion? Besides Arya Samaj and later RSS has been working on this 'Shuddhi' movement from early 1900s. Seeing the photos you have posted, I must say that they have at least partly achieved their goal. These Indian Muslims are somewhere in between the two religious beliefs and the only solution of their confusion would be to have them converted to Hinduism.

It is good if it happens like this but then Muslims are 13.4% (as per 2001 census) of Indian population so a public holiday on two Eids make some sense, though I still don't agree and consider these holidays waste of time and loss of economic activity.

We don't get Saturdays as holidays as in western countries.we don't get extra payment for working overtime either.hence there won't be any loss of economic activity.we enjoy festivals and they rejuvenate us.
