Pakistani Experts Admit Chabbar Port Will Dilute Gwader Potential

Chabahar isn't in competition with Gawadar port. Gawadar will serve China using the CPEC infrastructure to haul goods to Xinjiang region of China. Would Chabahar be utilized to ship to China? No it wouldn't...so how is it competition exactly?

Moreover the article claims that it will allow US a route to Afghanistan...that's also BS. Iran and US relations are plummeting again under Trump and they weren't exactly rosy to begin with.

Most importantly these ppl are not experts so let's just delete this useless thread.

. .
Why can't Chabahar just be India and Iran expanding trade opportunities instead of doing in Gwadar? Why do we have to be doing in Gwadar? Why can't the partners in Gwadar be trying to build prosperity for their people? What's wrong with that? I didn't think much of that until Kaptaan's mind-jolting report, but now it's different. India needs twenty Gwadars, to bring about a genuine turn in the economy, and we could link those up to a whole arc of countries from Vietnam to China to Central Asia. Think of India as an enormous dock sticking into the Indian Ocean instead of a jagged fence of mountains keeping everybody out.
Was it kaaptan or Juggernaut ?

Key highlights from both vedios from PAKISTANIS

Gwader will remain a CPEC corridor for transit of Chinease energy and goods predominately

Indian Chabbar port will Give India Iran & USA access to Afghnistan BUT also a ,much shorter route than Gwader to Central Asia & Russia

India has BACKING OF USA

TOTAL INVESTMENT could rise to $20 billion over next 10 - 15 years.

The Chabbar Port gurantees India Gas supplies AND huge access to central ASIA not JUST AFGHNISTAN.

Chabbar Port is a strategy that has FULL USA SUPPORT AND BACKING
Lol, your expert is the chairman of PCB.

As of now Gwadar is literally an empty port without any significant trade activity.
Chabahar will help India to trade with Afghanistan. But its trade potential will be very minimal as both countries trade volume is very low.

Leave it. Gwadar is developing faster than any other port in that region. It is not a matter of if but when now.

At the port, things are pacing as per plans. Five cranes have been installed by the port operator COPHC; two used ones brought from Los Angeles and three new ones brought from Shanghai. The port is operational and two ship liners – COSCO and Sino-Trans – regularly call at the port; a cargo ship carrying developmental goods was seen berthed at the time of our visit. In side news, the PNSC is planning to start ferry service (passenger cum cargo) from Karachi to Gwadar and Chabahar, which will be in addition to its interest in setting up oil storage and workshop in Gwadar.

Compared to 300 Chinese working at the port in January 2017, there are now 1000 Chinese at the port, though it’s another thing that they hardly leave the port area (more on that later). Meanwhile, DG Gwadar Port Authority (GPA) Muneer Jan told BR Research that the COPHC has also started feasibility work on construction of 1500 meter long new terminals with five additional berths.

Just outside the terminal area, three building structures have been erected in the free trade zone. One of those is the display centre, whereas other two are the main building for expo centre including a 5-star hotel within the free trade zone. These did not exist in January 2017; back then one could only hear the thumping sounds of ground leveling exercises.

It doesn't matter that GAWADER port got some less importance in Afghanistan contest (which we don't need). The key is GAWADER will brighten and enhance Pakistan's full potential.

In Pakistan we continue to employ and promote traitors, this scum bag should have been hanged instead thieves & traitors in power continue to promote each other

Story of the so-called-Expert:

This is taken from Wikipedia

After the 1971 war, the populist PPP had formed a new elected government at the centre, whereas the leftist NAP was heading the provincial government in Balochistan. In 1973, the PPP regime accused NAP of fostering a separatist movement in Balochistan and dismissed it. In reaction, hordes of Baloch tribesmen picked up arms and triggered a full-fledged guerrilla war with the Pakistan Army.

About five members of the London Club decided to quit their studies in London, travel back to Pakistan and join the insurgency on the Baloch nationalists' side. They were all between the ages of 21 and 25, came from well-off families and, what's more, none of them was Baloch. In fact they were all from Punjab. They included Najam Sethi, Ahmed Rashid and Asad Rehman and Dalip Dass. When the PPP regime was toppled in a reactionary military coup in 1977, Dalip Dass and Najam Sethi were arrested. Currently Najam Sethi is traitor of Pakistan and working for Anti-Pakistan & he is at backing Free Baluchistan campaign being observed in one of the European countries with support of Indian agency RAW.

Asad Rehman, Ahmed Rashid and Dalip Dass were the three people who escaped into the mountains to join the Baloch tribesmen, whereas Najam Sethi and Rashid Rehman stationed themselves in Karachi to raise funds and awareness about the Baloch cause.
