I strongly believe that every nation with it's own currency should have it's own symbol for it!!
& especially when the name of your currency is a common name used for currency by many nations!

But at the end of the day, it is your business & up to your nation to decide whether you want one or not.

I second the idea of basing it off the letter raa. It's unique and stays true to our language. It's easy to write too.
